Trying to gauge the current value of my '14 Stingray Z51
Hi,
Long time member and corvette owner on here. Lately when glancing at stingray listings the prices are all over the place. to get a 15' version of my car its 61,490 msrp.
My car is a 1 owner, 2014, AW stingray z51 with red interior, 7mt , black z51 wheels, body color roof 3,900 miles, corsa xtreme exhaust, 15% solarguard lifetime window film. all maintenance and recalls are up to date. car is mint.
is it worth 60, 55, 52 , 50 ? Sometimes random people ask me what I would sell it for...
input is appreciated thanks !

When I was selling mine I would receive offers all over the place. I sold a '14 Z51 1LT 7MT with 13k miles for $58k a couple weeks ago. However, I received countless offers for around $50k before that. My asking was $58k and knew most people wouldn't go near it, but you only need 1 for the sale. I understood the value of my car was gonna take a big hit by the time the year ends and I figured it would have 20k miles on it by that time. So exiting the vehicle without any loss was a no-brainer for me.
Your best bet is to start in the 57-59k range and work your way down (unless you need a quick sale). You didn't mention if it was a 1, 2 or 3LT so that would influence price between the mid and higher 50s.

Realistically, worth should be around low 50's but you can probably find a buyer for mid-high depending on trim. 2LT can fetch high 50's easy.

Thanks for the update, helps a lot for those of us trying to gauge fair prices. What trim level was your C7?

I know. I've been waiting for prices to drop first so I can avoid the steep part of the depreciation curve but it's just not happening. I'm looking for 2LT Z51's and they've been in the mid 50's since the beginning of the year.

Don't forget GM did price increases across all model ranges twice.
So 'we' know that a car that in 2014 cost $55k - now a 2016 costs $60k but with 8-9% off it's right back at $55k.
As noted, general public don't know that. So that's helped the 2014's hold value.

IIRC there are going to be lot more corvettes made per year than in the past. I don't remember where I read it but I got the impression that Corvettes were going to be seeming more common. Fine with me, I want a C7 and hopefully the price of one a couple of years old will get lower.

I'm actively looking right now. I can say without a doubt that getting the equivalent of $54,035 for a 2014, 2LT, Z51 coupe, sold private, is VERY good. Consider that there are several out there with low mileage and GM certified for $55K to $56K. There are a few not certified, with a clean carfax for around $52K and that's asking from dealers. This time of year is probably the best to buy, spring is the time to sell.
Yes some dealers have higher prices as do some private folks. They're hoping to find someone who wants that particular car and doesn't care what it costs. It happens, but not often.
BTW, to achieve finding one at the best price, my search range is 300 miles.
