Default NPP Multi Mode Exhuast

I'm new at this and I plan on buying a 2015 base LT1 from a dealer from their stock orders. Will I be disappointed if I don't get the NPP option . I'm fairly close to both Kirbeck and Macmulkin Chevy. I can buy a new 2015 below what many are advertising used 2014's for. It looks like Macmulkin orders all there base models with the NPP option. Looking for some input about the Multi mode exhuast. Pros and Cons Thanks.

I really don't think it's worth the money, I would buy a car without it and choose an exhaust system you like the sound of then have it installed.

It came as standard equipment on my 2015 z51 it's always opening and closing at the wrong times.

I would rather have a system that sounds the same at all times.

NPP is how much $1,200. I didn't go for it.I just went aftermarket and purchased B&B.
The stock muffler sounds like an impala if you don't order NPP.As far as the sound even with
NPP opened it's to quiet for me.Depends how much sound you want.

The guys over at LMR here in Houston advised to get the NPP and add headers/hi-flow cats. In addition to the HP gain, the header/cats will beef up the sound for both modes making a cat-back an option - not a necessity.

I would agree completely. On my 11 Grand Sport I did exactly this and it was awesome. My new Z already came with it or I would do the same thing again. My GS got compliments all the time. The Z06 is a completely different sound and cool in its own way.

You can pick up an NPP here on the forum for about $500. Dont waste your money on OEM NPP. If you want true control install a set of cutouts for $500 and call it a day. Let BER know if you need any parts and congrats on the new horse.

PS- Kerbeck is going to be the lowest price apples to apples. Dont know how they sell cars for that truthfully when I look at other prices in the nation

Thank you for your input. Kerbeck and Maculkin have the best prices by far. It's astonishing what some folks are asking for used 2014's. I can buy a brand new one for cheaper then their asking prices. I was going to wait a while hoping the bubble would burst on the 2014 models. I'm not seeing the normal deprecation value % on the 2014's. I'm guessing the prices will stay high as long as the market will bear it. I think I'll know if I made the right deceison early fall when the 2014's come off their 2 year leases and the 2016's are coming out.

You mentioned leasing.I'm not sure if any of the 2014's were leased. Many were ordered be the owners that have them now. Some of us had to wait months to get our C7.Some people wern't able to get A 2014 C7 they had
To wait for the 2015's to come out.
So that's why I said what I did about of any leasing of the C7 2014's.

get the NPP and don't look back!

and don't get some cheap aftermarket exhaust or NPP clone that will be annoying....not to mention lower the value of the car.

85% or so C7s have NPP. The vast majority of owners have very favorable opinions of NPP. If you search this forum you will find several threads on this topic.

Posts in this thread so far are not representative of the consensus.

NPP is hands down the most popular C7 option.

This thread is in the wrong section, so won't get nearly as many responses as it would if it were in the General Discussion.

I may be in the minority here, but I've loved it on both my Vette's. My 2011 GS and my 2015 Z06.

Especially when I added Kook's headers and hi flo cats on my GS and got compliments on it daily.
It did sound awesome!
