Will dealers except the points?
Just got a reply from a dealer about GM points being transfer to another...
" I will not put the Dealership at risk with you purchasing points etc from someone else. I think someone has you believing that there are ways to
get around proper pricing because all dealerships are subject to audits!"
Anybody knows if a dealer can find out if points are transferred from another? If it is not allowed by GM? I really don't understand why it would not be....

Yes. It is easy. He will ask u for your social security # to validate your eligibility for using the points. So, to " be added" to someone's acct, be aware that you will have to give them your social security #, which I don't recommend doing.

Why do think my last statement was. ".....I don't recommend doing".

They do not ask you your SSN when redeeming points. The GM card holder only needs to have the buyer's full name and address to be added as an authorized user on the account. The dealership will verify that the buyer is listed on the card and then they can use the points toward their purchase.
I sold $9000 in points across three transactions last year with no issues, very smooth process. Let me know if you have any questions.

I bought ($2000) points for $1,000 when I bought my ZR1. Did exactly as described above with no problems whatsoever.

I've sold many many many points, and still can't understand why so many people are skeptical. Sure there are scams out there with many things, but if you do your homework, buying and selling gm points works well for all involved imo.
