Take over lease: 2016 Z51 2LT with all options - Under 1,000 miles
So of course, after getting my dream C7 exactly how I wanted it just 3 months ago, my company has not-so-politely "asked" me to move to from the Bay Area here in California, to Dublin, Ireland.
An absolutely beautiful car, 2016 Z51 2LT with lots of options (magnetic ride, dual roof, performance exhaust, data recorder, etc.). Has less than 1,000 miles on it and has of course always been garaged here in sunny California.
I got a great deal on it through the supplier discount and then put a sizable down payment to keep the monthly cost somewhat reasonable. I'm a little worried about what to do now so I've gone ahead and listed it on some lease swapping site I found.
If you know anyone who might be interested please do send them my way as I'd really love to see this go to a good home.
The listing is here: http://www.swapalease.com/lease/details/?salid=990384
Here is a great pic from the other day:
Email me with any questions and wish me luck in getting this taken care of quickly!

Is there an option to buy it as I am in the market for a Corvette with these specs?
Thanks,

Thanks for all the messages guys!
So the residual is $45,917. Not sure on the process to just buy out the entire thing instead of taking over the lease but I'd imagine it's relatively straightforward.
As for taking it it with us, I guess I didn't even think to look into it assuming the costs would be crazy. I think we'll also have a lack of parking options living in a big city so it could be tough. But yes an option to look into so thanks for the reminder!

Don't mind at all. Obviously I can share the full lease document with anyone who was really interested but the rough numbers were: cost was ~$75k, supplier discount got it to ~$69k, I put down $5k.
Hopefully that helps.
Hopefully that helps.

Maybe this will help, directly from the lease document:
$72,582.80: Gross capitalized cost
- $2,932.32: Capitalized cost reduction
------------------
$69,650.48: Adjusted capitalized cost
- $45,917.75: Residual value
------------------
$23,732.73: Depreciation
+ $13,445.91: Rent charge (interest)
------------------
$37,178.64: Total of base scheduled payments
/ 36: Number of payments
------------------
$1,032.74: Base scheduled payment
+ 90.36: Estimated tax
------------------
$1,123.10: Total scheduled payment

So I understand the math. Paid 69k for the car 5k down. Leaves $64k owed. $ 1,123 x 32
$35,936. Lease. $45,917 payoff. Totals over $80k Not getting the math as well
$10k in interest in 32 months

Can't always goe by the lease document as more often than not it does not reflect the lease formula and the salesman just plunks in numbers to make the monthly $ amount work. The lease formula has a component for the time value of money in addition to the depreciation and the above lease numbers do not reflect the time value of money
