My experience is that I would either by from a private party or the brand dealer. Third party dealers are buying the cars at auction and many need work. CarMax didn't get to be as big as they are by giving away cars. So if they are selling that cheap, what did they pay for it and who was stupid enough to take that kind of hit.

Apparently the guy bought from a sister dealership and then came and turned this one in direct to the dealer I'm buying from.

Word is he paid $13K over sticker a year ago, so $120K before fees. Ugh.
