Hi Everyone,

I am in the process of rebuilding my house and am going to sell my Z06 because I don't really have a safe place to park it. In fact it has been with the dealership for the last two weeks while I try to figure out if I want to keep or sell it. If I don't sell right away, I might just try to get a storage unit, but I don't want to park it on the street while I am without a garage.

I did, but only let two people drive it. I cancelled a lot of the requests. There are some good people on there, but you need to talk to them first and make sure that you trust the person driving your car.

Hello I am very interested in your car for sale , one owner ? Clean title ? Never taken to a track? Proper break in period? Do you have records of maintenance ?

I am the original owner, and it does have a clean title. I have taken it to Sonoma once, but was in the beginner group and didnt push it very hard at all. I am not a racer, but went with my buddy and his volvo club - Needless to say I wasnt able to push it as hard as I would have liked even as a beginner.

I did follow proper break in period and have it regularly serviced at Capitol Chevrolet. Records available from the dealer if you would like - I also think I have everything in the glovebox.

I wouldn't worry about it being on the track. I would assume that almost anyone on this forum would go to the track at least once. The more important thing is how the car has been cared for and how hard it was pushed. You don't want someone to lie to you, because then they probably beat the hell out of it. I would rather be honest and tell you that I had it on the track but didn't push its limits. I know plenty of people who beat their cars much harder on the street than I did for a few laps around the track behind a volvo wagon...LOL

A new car being tracked once by a novice in a beginner group is not a big deal. I'd be more worried about a proper break-in which he said he's done. Even the rental thing, it all comes down to a pre-purchase inspection.

Seller is being so upfront that I bet he'll be just fine if someone wants to take it to a good shop for a thorough pre-sale inspection.

I just bought a C4 and the seller was upfront w/ me so I appreciate that in ppl. GLWS!

Thank you for the kind response. I don't think that anyone should ever spend this much money on a car without having it checked out. I would happily take it in for a serious buyer. There are plenty of good Vette shops here.

What is the rental deal? It sounds like it was on some group board where you could rent people's cars. Is that correct?

Sorry for the delay. Yes, that is correct. I had one guy rent who was considering trading in his Ferrari, and another guy who was a big vette guy traveling in from Denver for a wedding. He actually tried to buy the car from me last year and I turned him down

No issues with the car at all and it is in beautiful condition. Happy to take it to a local vette shop for checkup upon request.
