2015 ZO6 Coupe.............
For Sale: 2015 ZO6 Coupe, 776 miles on the car, Black with Red full length dual racing stripes, red interior, black factory wheels, 2LZ package, automatic, carbon fiber package, front splitter, side rockers and the big rear spoiler. It also has a fantastic cover and battery protection. The car has a sticker window MSRP of $89,880. The car has a "Corsa X-Pipe" and also I put the XPEL treatment on the entire front end, front fenders, hood and the bottom of the doors. That alone cost me over $2,000. After the expel I had the car professionally detailed by a local expert. I will sell for $73,500 firm. "Please" only folks that are serious. The car is absolutely perfect in every way. My email is: janetsuepetersen@yahoo.com

These cars according to others ads as well as my own don't seem to hold their value worth a darn. Expensive lesson to learn. Looks like I'll be keeping it. Over 700 views, one reply and never heard back from him. By the way the dual red stripes can be removed if you don't like them.

Some new 2016s have been at 20% off at forum dealers (So $89K cars for 71,XXX). The used market is hard right now, and going into winter makes it harder and each month the cars value drops more. I've seen many folks take their car off the market and just keep it because they don't want to go 25-30% off in order to sell it.

I was only getting offers @ 25% Off the MSRP.
I sold my 2006 pristine Z with 64K instead.

Yep, used C7's are a hard sell with all the huge discounts for the new ones. I guess if you're a multimillionaire it's no big deal but for us normal people it's a huge loss.

ALL cars deeply depreciate not just C7s so I am amazed people are surprised by this. I am also amazed unless there is a financial hardship or sudden illness why people buy expensive cars then turn around and sell them so quickly only to complain about the depreciation.
I'm not picking on the OP, it's just an observation.

Agreed! Cars lose as much as 11% the moment you drive it off the lot. That means if you buy a car at $100,000 the moment you drive off the lot your car is now only worth $89,000. If you plan to keep your car depreciation really doesn't effect you, however if you're planning to do a quick turnaround and sell it you are screwing yourself over. I plan on buying a 2016 this spring because the deals are ridiculous right now. So if I buy a car that's already slashed by 15 to 20% I'm ahead of the game.

I had a great paying job for over 35 years so Iam not bitching in the least. I was just surprised by the "$$$amount" that these cars depreciate in the first and second year. Remember back when we all were anxiously awaiting the arrival of the newly designed "ZO6" and everybody "just had to have one". Think back 2 years. Do you remember all the "Hoopala" that was made over it. I DO. My point is I never dreamed that these cars now would sell for what I call "Give Away Values". I have over 92K in mine and can't even get $73,500. Thats a loss of $18,500 for a car with now 832 miles on it. I drove it yesterday, got home washed it and dried it off and put the battery charger on it and my wife helped me put on the nice flannel car cover. End of story. THANK YOU for letting me "Rant" a little today. I do find it kinda frustrating but when the time comes I will just trade it in.

But with Corvettes you're buying supercar performance for one-quarter to one-third supercar prices. The reason is they're mass-produced compared to the more exclusive supercars. One thing you lose with the lower price is exclusivity. Every Chevy dealership has 5 or 20 of your car, only newer. Not every Porsche, Lambo or Ferrari dealership has 5 of anything. You might have to be on a waiting list for their high-end cars.

All cars do that to one extent or another.

This is the facts. They REALLY REALLY flooded the market with these cars. Made more ZO6 in a year then ZR1 in all time they made them. Its crazy

I kinda "suspected" that. Because even though you can't compare these mass produced cars to the super exotics you can tell they did not put the customers best interest at heart. If they had these ZO6's would not be discounted at dealerships by 15 and even 20 thousand dollars. It really kinda "cheapens" the brand in my humble opinion. Stop and think about it for just a minute. A car with 800 miles on it, super horsepower and pristine mint condition and I can't even get a civilized price that discounts it over $18,500 off of what I paid new for it. Like I said before "A Lesson Well Learned".

Excellent points Patriot. It's a matter of how much potential buyers want to beat you up on the price and your willingness to settle for less. If you are firm like you are at $73,500 then that makes everything black & white for all parties involved. If someone can find a brand new 2016 for $20K off MSRP then by all means go for it. But eventually those deals will dry up and then the interest on your 2015 will pick up again. All the best!

Over 1,600 views now but most are probably just "window" shopping. Others have alerts in place in case you ever decide to move from your firm price. Always a cat & mouse game with these private party sales...

IDK whats been going on but EVERY brand has been doing that. Trucks going for 14k off, Maserati going 15k off, etc etc. Like you say it brings the value down on the product

If someone was truly "serious" I would probably come down somewhat.
