It will result in reduced longevity of the rear tires.

Do you have any specific concerns to doing this to a base versus a Z51?

I have a base C7, that is blown with 10 PSI, long tube headers, and dual meth. About 640rwhp. No problems..

I have a base model and I'm currently installing a ProCharger Kit.
Thoughts: "you only live once"
Concerns: "you only live once"
Cons "you only live once"
All kidding aside, I'm not sure if there is a disadvantage in upping the HP on a non-Z51 versus a Z51. My kit is assembled for a wet sump motor and I don't have a front transmission cooler, so that's one less step. I'm not going to track the car, just increasing the fun factor.

Prochargers, E-Forces, Whipples, Maggies are on a quite a few L86 & L83 motors too. I don't think the Z51 brings anything special to the table in this regard.
