Boost Gauge and Wideband
I am finally getting ready to install my A&A kit this weekend. Standard set V3si set up with a 4 inch pulley. Wanted to know if a boost gauge is required or is it more of a nice to have item. Same thing for a wideband.

Adding the gauges is optional. Most tuning shops should hookup their own WBO2 and boost gauge while getting you dialed in. Then set it and forget it.

Congrats on your install! I know I love my A&A kit, though I have to say, my rear tires are complaining.
Instead of getting discreet a boost gauge, I got a Dash Control unit by DashLogic. It's a simple device that plugs into your ODB and allows you to show any engine information from the ECU including boost. It even has inputs for a wideband sensor, or other device.
It can be programmed to chime alerts (RPM shift indicators, A/F lean conditions, etc) and allows you to fully control the NPP exhaust mode with a flip of the mirror selector switch.

The gauge is the psb1 that will read boost and a/f. It also will save your highest boost reference each drive.

Like others have said it's optional. Here is the setup I did behind the radio. I also have the dashlogic and love it but you'll have to change your map sensor to be able to read high enough boost via dashlogic.

At 14 psi on e47 it made 935/770. With a bell on the novi1500 is how we accomplished over 14psi.

Are you sure about that? I can't find a single pic showing this. In fact, here's an early pic of an Alky kit from 2008:
Edit, found one early 2007, still only goes to eight... my hopes are being shattered:

I am getting old here it may have only been 8 but I would have put money on it going to 10. What I had was in the same time frame so guess just a old fart here and would have lost if I had putting money on it.
Any way to the above guy those are some good number on the car. What is your best time thur the 1/8 r 1/4 what ever track you are running on. I am glad your rear and trans is holding up for you with over 900 plus to the wheels. Robert
