What needs to be resurrected is the original forum rule that would allow the mods to quickly lock a thread like this based on age. Bringing this thread back from the dead serves no purpose other than inflammation.

I'd just appreciate glass in the mirrors that didn't show spider web like cracks throughout when the sun shines on it!!

I think Blind spot should be an option. How much weight can it add? This car has some blind spots.........

With 8 foot wide garage doors, clearance is getting tight! Pulling in at night requires being very careful! At least make them an option, I'd have purchased!

I love the entire car the way it came, what I did not like about the car (chrome retainer strip on the front grill), I simply changed myself. So if you don't like something, then instead of complaining about it, do something about it, change it. If you don't like the rear lights, then go to RPI Design and purchase the round light panel, and then you install and are happy.

I just don't like people who complain about something but never take it upon themselves to fix what they complain about. That is what is so fun about having cars as a hobby the aftermarket offers so much for you the customize your own car they way you like it.

While your at it GM how about bringing back the 8-track and CB Radio like the 1982 Corvette.....I miss that too.....

Changing the design of a side mirror is not something the average person can do and I don't think I've ever heard of any aftermarket company that has done it either.

They should have just used the mirrors on the Concept.. then of course some sissy would go crying to their lawyer about how GM intentionally tried to stab them. I personally love my C7's looks all around

I have it on good authority that some one was killed by impalement on the 1959 Cadillac's fins

Some may need to, like many Americans, learn to actually drive.. for real this time. I back mine in my double door garage no issue, with ears out, with about 2 inches max (haven't measured really)on each side every time I park it. Only in my Yukon do I actually need to fold the mirrors to do the same.

It can be done, and I have done it on a 77 Corvette, putting on 78 Mirrors. Just give it time they will come out with an aftermarket mirror if the demand is there, they have them for the Camaro, the look like the Transformer Movie Camaro mirror, so get those and adapt them. Not everything is just bolt on, sometimes it takes time, patience and ingenuity to get what you want.

It's not a matter of learning to drive, in my case I'd love to be able to pull in the mirrors so that I could park the car a few inches closer to the one side of my garage, that way there is more space on the side to get in and out of the car and move stuff from the front of the garage to outside (like our recycle bins for instance) In the winter when I'm storing my car I manually pull in the mirrors so I can park my car a lot closer to the wall, but for every day parking it's just too much of a hassle to get out of the car in the driveway first instead of just pulling straight in.

use the camera.. that's what its there for; specifically the lines in the display. They are accurate as hell.

My biggest issue with this place sometimes is that despite it seemingly being populated by a majority of supposed Good Ole Boy "men" the whining is indicative of a bunch of sissy girly Libbys

You're not understanding what I'm talking about obviously, my point is that with the mirrors retracted in, there is more available space to put the car closer to the wall. It has NOTHING to do with driving skill or looking at the backup camera, it's all about physically reducing the actual width of the vehicle.
