C7 speculation
This may be a bit early to think about, but has anyone heard anything about whether a Z06 C7 is being planned? My fear is that there will only be one version with less HP than the current Z06.

the Base C6 matches the C5 Z06 performance...giver or take a few tenths..
The Base C7 should match the C6 Z06 performance ....give or take a few tenths..
their will be a high performance (actually serveral) versions of the C7!
You can take that to the bank....
Evolutionary changes...slightly smaller...slightly lighter... much better interior blah...blah...blah...
Not sure if it will be worth trading in my c6 z51 coupe which I'm enjoying...
probably will be an amazing and immediate need to own a C7 once it releases but till then....
Its all speculation...
Now the C8 will be insane...(I'm kidding of course)

I have news from a good source the C9 will be a hybrid, running on any fuel source, get 45mpg, have 800 hp, & be rear engine. Unfortunately, they will still not figure out how to improve the interior. The code name for the C9 is K9.

From a Great Source
Primary INFO from a great source as to what the basic C7 will be.
- Exact same powertrain layout as today (i.e. 6.2L engine, clutch, manual, 6 spd auto, etc)
- No cylinder deactivation or DI for initial year(s)
- Styling & user friendly changes will be as great as those from the C4 to C5
- Mid 2013 intro as a 2014 Model
- C6 for 60th year will have some big offerings
My projection ----
- production will be a year later;
- all will have aluminum frames;
- styling changes will be not much more than tweeks of the current c6;
- interior will be much improved .. but still low cost
- garmin based navigation

Navigation based cars maybe a thing of the past with smartphones now having much better mapping technology in them then the once dominant players like Garmin. Google's Android, Apple iPhone are superior; and the up and coming new Mango - Windows Mobile Phone 7.5 will incorporate Nokia's mapping module which is suppose to be the best in the world.
