Well can't say if its real or BS but noon EST time looks to be the release..

I'm guessing its a matchbox car or something like that..but hey...for the few laughs and what not...

I'm in ..

---------

Here's the latest update from jalopnik..(what the hell does that name stand for anyway?)

1st Gear: See The 2014 Corvette At Noon
Like we told you late last night, we secretly saw the C7 Corvette first-hand this weekend. You're going to want to be here at noon when we show you the images we've commissioned. They're as close as you're going to get to the real thing until it's officially unveiled in 14 months.

From what I heard, this wasn't a press event. They caught it being discretely tested. GM can't force them to take down photos that they caught out in the wild.

It stands for Jalopy + Sputnik. While Jalopy needs no explanation, I don't recall the reason for Sputnik.

Oh well... the magic of cross posting. As Jinx said it could be beatnik instead of Sputnik. I've seen both explanations before.

Did you see Jalopnik's morning update? It says they will be releasing "images we've commissioned". So sounds like they don't have real pictures, just rendered images based on what they saw.

The GS C6 has a timeless look, I think it will like the C2 always a cool looking Vette, the base model not!

Where is their "morning update"? I don't see any changes from yesterday and I don't see where it says "images we've commissioned".

"commissioned", "as close as you can get" - probably means they caught a glance of it and hired some sketch artist to reproduced what they saw....

Had my C5 for 3 years and I just moved to a C6. Will be a hard sell to move models again with less than 3 years under my belt...
