The C7 needs a major HP bump throughout the range
Does anybody agree with me? the ferrari f12 berlinetta was released today and is bumping out 740 hp, 100 more than the ZR1. The base vette needs at least 500, Z06 or whatever they will call it needs 600-620 and the ZR1 will need over 700 to compete. I know people will be against this but... Corvette needs a dual clutch gearbox (as an option)... its time, everyone else is doing it.

I'd like to see at least 480 in the base, though 500 would be better still. 440 won't cut it for me and I might go with a 2013 Z instead. As far as DCT goes, I don't really care since I will get manual in any case.

I think we all would like more hp. But realistically the car has no peers in it's class and we just have to understand that in it's last years of C6 production it probably would not have made much difference.
My fearless prediction is that the base C7 will have around 475 hp, Z06 550-575 and ZR1 700.

I think that GM will do at least 480.Remember the C5 Z06 had 405 and the base C6 went to 430! I think that this is why some popular forum members are selling their C6 Z06's!

Rumors has it that the new Acura NSX will have 400hp, available in a hybrid version, and sell for $38,000. Not to mention the fact that it looks gorgeous. The C7 better be absolutely RAW and not that Jalopy (nik) spy photo car

It wouldnt bother me if the 'Vettes had only a modest increase in H.P. for the c-7, but would like for them to drop 100-200 lbs across the board. Keeping up with a $300,000 car doesnt really interest me. A stock C-7 with 450 h.p. and 100-200 lbs lighter is my idea of a world class sports car. It would put it around 12.0 1/4mi(or less)at around 120mph.

Selling for 38K is not a rumor, it is a halucination!

Tell me again how much that new F12 costs? How much horsepower does Ferrari's $50,000 model have?

Quicker/faster than that I'd bet.
I'd still be totally shocked if that Honda even comes in at under $120k, never mind under $40k LOL.

I'd love to see 500 but I wouldn't bet on that. 480 sounds real nice though
