I've had the first C4, C5, and C6 from a local dealer and am first on the list for a C7. Having said that, this is the first one I'm not so sure about; the Jalopnik drawings, if accurate, don't do much for me. Not just the rear, but the profile as well. Maybe in the flesh it will be better. I plan to head to Detroit for the unveiling in January at which time I will commit or not to the car and color. If not, I'll keep my C4 and C6 and look for a low mile C6 Z06 as an addition.

Not likely the first year.... and maybe not at all if it's got Camaro taillights. Once my warranty runs out I may put a blower on my Z.

I bought a first year C5, a first year C6 and I'll probably buy a first year C7 too.

Nope, not if it looks anything like what has been shown thus far. Will save for an Aston Martin or 458 in many years. But, have an amazing modded c6 and modded 2010 Camaro to hold me over....

Oh well then you're in luck because it won't have Camaro tail lights.
Camaros have Camaro tail lights.
And as crazy as it sounds, Corvettes usually have Corvette tail lights too.

Thank Gawd for early adopters. You guys can work out all the bugs for us late adopters. Well, not all of them, but most of them.

Dunno about a 14, but unless they mess it up from the design to the point where it comes from the dealer on fire, I'll def be picking up a C7.

Are you going to buy a 2014 C7?
I will know the first week of Jan 2013.

I already have the day off work to be in Detroit for the unveiling of the C7; at the NAIAS Jan 2013. Yvonne and I was there in 2004 to see the new C6 (and as many know... I decided to keep my C5 at that moment).

But if the C7 looks hawt... I will be ordring one on the first day it's allowed; which is generally in the months or April or May. I would expect delivery at the end of July 2013

I had no plans to buy a 2014 regardless of how it looked. I was going to wait a few years for things to settle out.

You will likely know even before that.
Yes, the Detroit auto show might be the first clear/well lit place that us 'civilians' will see a 2014 Corvette in person, but I believe we will know exactly what it looks like months before that.

The number of people with C7 access (or a C7 component) is growing exponentially now. The likelihood of leaks, or simple mistakes like Omega made, are going up everyday.

It depends on how it looks aesthetically and what's in them. Too many unknowns to commit to a C7 at this time.

If they roll them out like they did the C6 when the first year was half C6/C5 I will pass. It normally takes them a few years to work out some of the issues. A lot of upgrades in the C5 happened in 2001 and for the C6 it was 2008.

I hear ya !!!

but renditions (pretending to be real photos), and even real photos in magazines - have never accurately represented what the style truly looks like to the naked eye.

I want to see the C7 with my own two eyes.

Detroit NAIAS 2013... here I come !!!

After seeing the Omega video I'm sure Jalopnik got really close to the C7, if they didn't nail it outright.

And I think a lot of Jalopnik haters on CF are going to flip-flop after January when the Corvette marketing machine works magic and we start to see the professional C7 pictures & videos, the new C7 interior, cool new electronic features, and all the other advantages the Corvette team has built into the C7.
