C7 potential aero innovations...vs F12
One can only hope the C7 has the aero innovation possibilities (similar to the Camaro ZL1) we see in the Jalopnik/C&D images so that it can compete from an innovation standpoint with the F12 Berlinetta's unique aero approach.

Well, I'll say this... With an airflow such as your lightbars indicate, we won't need windshield wipers!
(I know, I know... It's just quick photoshopping of a conceptual render for illustrative purposes only. I'm only having fun.)

I was kind of liking the version of the car without all the vents all over it.
I at least hope those outer trailing edges of the taillights actually do something.
I don't see any design reason to have that pointy stub coming off of them.
Unless you're into that "runny mascara" look.

I really wouldn't suspect much of those C7 vents if I hadn't seen this video...from Tom Peters (Director for Performance Vehicles at GM) with the ZL1. The ZL1 hood vents even look very similar to the C7's.
Look from 2:00 to 3:52.

If the "unique aero approach" of the f12 as you call it, results in a butt that looks like the f12's, cancel it. I'd rather camaro exact part number tail lights on the c7 then that Ferrari's back end.
Come to think of it, there isn't much visually stunning about the f12. Its, the vipers, and the c7's front bumper all appear very similar actually, and none of them do it for me, especially the Ferrari's.
As far as vents go, I believe all performance cars will have them shortly. Its one of the most simple ways to help remove front end lift and increase performance(by expelling heat) AS LONG AS they are strategically placed a la Ford GT, 03/04 cobra, new viper, c6R as well as most all race cars. It needs to be right behind the radiator, as far forward as possible.

I did find the front aero system very interesting because there is a very large 'hole' between the outer 'Aero Bridge' and the inner curves where the wind is channeled. It may not be a beautiful system but it sure seems effective if you believe the Ferrari spin doctors. 76% better than the 599 sure seems like a lot unless the 599 was really bad.

May have more of an every day noticeable cooling benefit than noticeable aero.
My ZR was rock solid/stable at over 180 mph at the Texas Mile. Better planted with the front splitter than my Z-06 was without one (and the Z was no slouch at speed either).
If they start going the route of turbocharging - or twin turbos, the heat extraction might be a noticeable benefit, even for everyday driving, let alone high speed blasts or track work.

I agree.
And I like vented hoods. But I might be in the minority, tho. Some folks just don't like the looks of them, no matter how they're styled/integrated.

The latter in the case of fender vents.

I like the front end alot. looks modern and slick. just dont like those out of place hood vents. Looks terrible.
