Just look at some of the comparisons.. the front lights as far as we know.. the high door slant near the new quarter rear window.. possibly the rear end.. and even endents on the butt that we can see on some of the camo.. even the interior.. oh the big mouth grill too...

how do you post pics on here i wanna show some of the similarities

So, we will get a Ferrari at 1/6 the price of the real thing...that's a good deal!

Both cars have probably been in development for 3+ years. Any resemblance is most likely coincidental.

well i doubt coincidental ,, basically the same old same pattern of new aerodynamics for the class.. i still think they had clues or something.. i had heard gm buys ferraris and takes them apart,, if they do thats very smart.. ya one heck of a deal if they are close to the berlinetta.. saves you about 275k but not so much a wow factor..

I've long thought that GM and Ferrari were in bed somehow somewhere.

ya seems like they are.. but it will be a good value .. i just saw a white berlinetta flat white last night after the mavericks game.. that thing with the black trim it had looked amazing.. had nice curves on it and sleek new fresh look..

+++++kinda a stretch but if you take a C3 and smash it down a little and take away the folding headlights its kinda the look we are getting now.. anyone see that?

Well, the last time a thread was started on this very subject a couple of months ago, it was said that GM started the design/development long before Ferrari did...

And the C7 will better stand the test of time. I have always loved Ferrari styling, but they are not perfect. The overall shape of this latest one is wonderful, and most details are great. But the rear, and the body shape to allow for the hood "scoops" and airflow management, are very unattractive.

Compare the clean look of the C4 to the overdone strakes and other poor details of the contemporary Ferrari TR. The Vette is a more attractive design, period. Now a Daytona vs. a C3, or a 430 vs. a C6? well that's a different discussion entirely....

Doesn't GM let Ferrari use (for whatever fee) the MAG ride suspension they developed? So it's possible.

GM can't buy a car that isn't in production. They've had the C7 designed for years. It takes a very long time to go from design concept to production mold. They would have had to buy an F12 3 years ago to "steal" the design. And honestly, GM really doesn't need to do so. This idea that GM doesn't have the capability to design state of the art technology is very misguided. GM is a volume manufacturer. They have no need to steal something they could have designed themselves that is virtually useless to them anyways. Additionally, most of that technology they'd be trying to reverse engineer is patented and they'd have major litigation on their hands if they tried. This is why it's simply cheaper to buy a license to reproduce something (like everyone does with MSRC).

That's what I keep saying. Someone who had seen C7 from front and side (a bit of distance) and he said it looks very much like F12. He saw it recently. He is a big money-maker for GM and never owned a Corvette (Loves Caddi), and said he will own a C7, a RED one. :-)

He said, the International sales on C7 will be up.

I'm tellin' ya, if you get a bright red C7 coupe and put the yellow prancing horse shield on the front fenders, most people WILL think it's a Ferrari.

Although why anyone would want to do that is a mystery.
