Default The Aisin 8sp auto...

I remembered hearing it's also used in the Lexus IS-F, so I did some searching.
I'd rather have one built in the US, but this one doesn't seem so bad.

The preliminary specification for LT-1 torque output is roughly 21% higher than that of the ISF. Hopefully if this is the same transmission to be used for the first year in the C7 production it will be properly upgraded to handle the additional torque without having to rely upon engine torque management (i.e. torque reduction) to protect the transmission.

There are other potential differences as well, the c6 transmission is in the rear, the IS-F is a conventional bell housing.

Default Good article

JPJR,
Good article, thanks for sharing. I learned something new. I have been doing allot of reading on DCTs and I am finding that they are not the only way to get a decent quick shifting tranny for a sports car. This system looks good so far.
Cheers,
Fuze

If the manual is a clunker, I would go with auto.

This auto competes with the DCT's DSG's and PDK's in the world.

I have driven this auto in a ISF, good choice chevy.
