Looking forward to the C8
Just got my latest issue of Car and Driver. The new C7 is featured on the cover with three more pictures and info inside. It's nice-ish but more evolutionary than revolutionary in my opinion. The rear end is total Camaro and a bit of a miss/mess and there are a lot of angles in competition with one another from fore to aft. There are built in side skirts too which remind me of the new Vanquish. They don't really work on the Vanquish or the C7 imo, they just kind of muck it up. The new wheels look pretty cool. The front brake ducts have a Grand Sport badges on them.
They say the interior will be a huge improvement and while bhp is only slightly up 14 bhp to 450 bhp, MPG will get a big boost via cylinder shutdown technology. Oh and Michelin got the contract for the tires, so adios to GY.
There is a cleaness, a purity of line that drew me to the C6 that to me is lacking in the C7. It now seems to have a strong Asian design influence that doesn't really appeal to me.
What do you guys think?

I'm not a big fan of it. But I suspect it will look different in person; I doubt that the rendering is 100% accurate.
I like the C6 a lot. It's my third-favorite generation; in descending order, I like C2, C3, C6, C4, C5, C1. I see the C6 as an evolution of the C3, though I don't know if that's how it was intended.
And I'm very happy with my car. I can't think of anything that could realistically be done in the future that would make me happier, or more accurately, happier enough to spend more money on a new one.
Would more power entice me? Nope, got much more than I can use as it is. More MPG? Sure, that'd be nice, but I don't drive it enough for that to really matter. Nicer interior? New seats are sorely needed, but again, not enough for a whole new car for me.

I talked to the Gm reps at Carlisle.......and said please don't make it look like a Camero. He was laughing and said they had done a good job keeping it under wraps and assured me it's rear would not be a Camero.
Regarding the "purity" of the C6, just traded my C5 in 3 weeks ago. C5 was a lot edgier then the C6 IMHO.
Wait until 1/13...... I got a C6 because I suspect the 7 will not be something I got to have.

I will have to admit, it would a greek tragedy if when I am finally able to buy one, they change so I don't want too.

Burning Brakes
Much to like, however having troubles with:
1. Numerous sharp angular body lines
2. Tail light design lacking distinctive round or nearly round tail lights
3. Tail light "mascara" trim
4. Rear valance black vertical markings
5. Top rear quarter panel vents
6. Quarter windows, eliminate altogether
7. Mirror materials
8. Windshield frame trim
