Default Who is actually going to the reveal?

I'll be there, and just checking to see who else I might catch up with while there to put a face with their handle from here.

Based on the latest email today, it is really going to be a fun and unique event. We even to get to have dinner with several of the developement engineers.......

Does anyone know if the reveal is going to be televised? I think it would be a blast to have a 1/13/13 reveal party.

Got this today:
The Sunday night reveal is a GM-Press event where invited (only) press get their first contact and view of the new car; there will be a program for the night and some rules to follow:

a. After some hors d’oeuvres there will be a presentation, all attendees will have designated seating.

b. After presentation the Press will be given first access to the new car AND the GM executives making formal announcements

c. NCM Participants will have access after the press however we are not to interfere with GM-press interactions

d. GM is bringing in 11 members of the C7 development team just for NCM participants to discuss the new car and answer our questions.

e. Pictures are permitted

The special reveal shirts will be distributed during the breakfast time on Monday morning.

There is also a basic overview of the event on the NCM website: http://www.corvettemuseum.org/regist...eal/info.shtml

I'll be there. Loooking forward to it, though not Detroit's typical January weather.

All for the princely sum of $1000+. I'll wait 10 minutes after the reveal and catch it on the web.

So when is the first day us regular folks can go to the show and see the C7 up close and personal for just the price of a show ticket?

Be in the lobby at Cobo Center before 9 AM Saturday morning January 19th. The inner doors open at 9:00 AM. It only takes a few minutes for the long lines in the lobby to get inside, then it seems empty at first. Head straight for Corvette and Chevy/trucks while the place is almost empty, then do Cadillac and the rest of GM, then the other cars that are on your list to see. You have a good hour or two before the place gets crowded. Then last you check out the unimportant cars and trucks if you care to. After that the place will be crowded. We usually do this at 9 on Sunday morning though, after staying nearby at the Marriott Renaissance Center (GM headquarters). It's a cool building and GM usually has some special cars on display. Greektown and its Casino are a couple blocks away, they're fun and festive on Saturday night. RenCen has a PeopleMover station, running through downtown including Greektown/Casino and Cobo Center.

What, no $1000 off MSRP coupon included to help buy your C7 at a Dealer?

Oooo, special shirts!!

I will be watching the reveal on my computer and will have 5-10 years to peruse the C7 in person...no real rush at this point. I won't get a shirt, though, darn it!

I thought it was already decided that the car is ugly, the taillights belong on a Camaro, and the engine is down on horsepower with tech nobody wants and doomed to explode...
