Default C7 Dash pic Sport Chrono?

Not sure if it's been discussed before, apologies if it's been covered but just looking at some past video snips and there is a chrono clock (like Porsche Sport Chrono) sitting on the dash. Is this just a track device or part of the new C7 packages?

Frankly, looks kinda hokey but for Porsche, it's an option that is part of a bigger package. Steering wheel looks like nice aluminum with airbag bumper pad, resembling a F458 Italia.

Just wondering...

Maybe it's a hood-mounted tach.

Doesn't look like a clock...maybe a vacuum gauge for engine calibration?

Steering wheel looks kind of like the one just unveiled on the '14 Silverado/Sierra.

Let's hope not. I've always wondered what upper manager keeps forcing the sport chrono on the Porsche's year after year. That think is absolutely hokey.
