Are you implying that I called you names?? And if you have track experience then you know that it isn't all about hp, even in a straight line.

surely you can wait a month. if not, go buy a '13 gt500, prolly cheaper than a saleen. or basically i way for ford to get ALOT of extra money out of a car for not much gain besides looks and sounds. but the 662hp gt500 is about the highest hp youre gonna get. and if you want more, do 2-3 cheap mods and have 700 or more. or get a zl1 with a lingenfelter package to get over 650 pretty easy. or have a shop build you a 700hp ls9 rx7. it just depends exactly what you want. just hp? speed? quality? refinement? etc etc.

The belief that you expressed IS pathetic, IMHO. It is an observation based on the comment you made, not an insult.

There will always be someone with a louder exhaust???

Enjoy your present ride and if you want more power...just. Write the check...as it's really chump change to get a reliable 600 hp ...

I was just quoted 8 grand for a two day install of the edlebrock s/c kit making 650 hp..
My car is fast enough for me with it's four flat zero to sixty and 190 moh top speed which btw I never do....

Next generation evo show car concept I might buy...but this generation I admire as well..

Not more than a corvette but it's nice

If you are suffering though go for a test drive and if you like it? Buy it

Simple as that.

You have a Ls3. A good cam and some long tube headers can get you near or around 500rwhp. Remember that's actual horsepower to the wheels. It will sound like a beast too!

From Edelbrock:

Now you can boost the power in your 2005-12 LS2 / LS3 Corvette to near ZR1 performance! These new E-Force Supercharger Systems are exclusively tailored to boost your performance to 554 flywheel horsepower and 515 ft./lbs. of torque (with stock fuel pump) or 599 flywheel horsepower and 547 ft./lbs. of torque (includes high volume fuel pump). The unique features on these kits are the 12" long intake runners that allow for maximum low end torque and the optional 5 year 100,000 mile supplemental warranty. Plus, this kit fits under the stock hood with no modifications. Not compatible with Z06 or ZR1 models.

Blue Ox, I've been called a lot of things in my life but never pathetic. I think should you get to know me, you would think otherwise. So I don't take offense because I know it doesn't apply to me. You must know a lot of weak women where you're from. Come on over to NC. I'll take ya to ZMax Dragway and/or Charlotte Motor Speedway and I'll show ya what real Southern women like me are made of. I'm driving my 7th Corvette. I don't drive anything else because nothing else compares. I know you post a lot on this forum and though I don't, it doesn't make me less of a person or less of a woman. Easy to post, harder to prove is my motto.

A single large turbine add on for the LS3, then straight pipe to the back. That will be loud and powerful.

No matter how much horse power the stang has its still a live axle muscle car. It does not compare to the Corvette. I have followed Saleen since it started. They were based in Irvine Ca. not far from my home. If you do a lot of research you will find that they are more show than go... I bet with the driving skills you have you would give it a run for its money till you got to triple digits. But really go sit in the thing they are just rental cars inside... Even with the Vettes shortcomings in its interior it's still like a Bentley compared to a stang... Easy fix for you though either way just add money.

This would do it.

Or if it's just horsepower you want, this...

Don't wear your heart on your sleeve. Envy is never pretty. Appreciate the sweet sound of the friend's loaner Mustang, give her her moment of borrowed glory, and enjoy what your skill can do with your ride.

If horsepower is that important to you, keep your old Corvette and pour money into the drivetrain until you can't stand the practical comfort and drivability sacrifices anymore. The new base C7 isn't going to do anything to address those "OMG 650hp Mustang with 650hp has a higher hp number of 650" insecurities.
