It's all getting very old speculating this and that. The BIG day is only a few days away, all this assuming is pointless and this thread is really another fine example of people who assume.......

Safety Car
Yeah, let's wait until 1/13, then we will know for sure if it looks like a cheap Ferrari.

Is Asian from somewhere the 60's Corvettes look amazing the seventies okay at some point they kinda fell off in the eighties and nineties like most cars think Ferrari and fox body. When the c6 debuted I thought wow I finally got it right again and even then it took designer Q's Ferrari 360. I think a car that takes inspiration from a Nissan GTR and new Ferraris sounds like a fresh good idea

GM is thinking they're going to sell a lot more C7s per year than they've been selling C6s.
GM is thinking they're going to give the Porsche 911 and everything in their market segment a good shellacking, again.
GM is thinking most people who actually see the actual car will think it exotic-looking and desirable.
GM is definitely NOT thinking about dorks on the Internet writing "what is GM thinking" before the car's official unveiling.

January 13 will be a revelation. Literally.

I respect the GT-R but I would much rather have the Jalopnik C7...at least it is slanted and looks like a sports car.
When looking at it, the GT-R always always gives me a midsize two-door sedan impression. It's no-doubt capable and an impressive engineering achievement but it simply does not have a sports car look to it in my opinion.
I will say this about what we have seen from the C7 so far:
In comparison to a C6ZO6 or ZR1, it is just simply different. I don't get that "I must have it instead of a C6" impression that I got when the C6 replaced the C5...maybe I will feel different when I see the real deal, but for now, based off what I have seen, the C7 will just be different... not neccesarily better looking than the C6. I hope I am wrong.

Hi gang....just showed a friend pics of the jalponik C7, and went over more pics of the new vette which have been all over the place....and I just cant help but feel that they messed up big time, its really unfortunate that this is the best they could do. What could possibly be the new car, just looks like a cheap ferrari. Almost all the feedback I get regarding the rear end is it looks like a Camaro, plus base power is less that the of theCamaro also? It just seems like it just doesnt live up to the Vette name, or standards that we have come to expect. The interior C4 copy also looks like crud. It was also pointed out to me that if the car is going to be reasonably priced, in a fiew years it probably just crash in value and be super cheap....what do you guys think, please tell me how wrong I am. Is it just me that thinks this car just doesnt compare to something like the Nissan GTR, cause I would buy that in a heartbeat over this cheap ferrari look a like.

Less weight.
Better MPG
Less COED (Wind drag)
Anti lock Brakes ect..ect
The new C4's could run with some of the over-ratted (Gross hp) Muscle cars.
Out handle all those 60's,70's big blocks Vettes
Had a higher top speed (due to Higher gears)
Put them to shame on a race track (Not talking Drag strip)
Had a look that was Unique to its own (the designers didnt copy styling trends like Now)

I'll even go a step further. While I am disappointed with what I have seen so far of the C7 rear fascia styling, I much prefer it to the GTR - even though the GTR has round tail lights!!! It is NOT just about round tail lights, dimmit!!!
