Default GM CEO talks 2014 Chevy Corvette, Detroit auto show

Akerson, when talking with media Wednesday, said he expects the seventh-generation Corvette to not only be a showstopper, but one of the best-looking vehicles in history.

“It’s going to be one of the most beautiful cars ever made,” he said. “It’s a real statement about the new GM, today’s GM, and it’s a statement about Chevrolet and our prospects.”

If I had any doubt about ol Akerson being a car guy, those doubts have been removed.

These types of quotes are nice and all, but what do we expect. My jaw would hit the floor if he had said, "We've update the styling to appeal to a thirst for "tacky" adornment and then we incremented all the performance parameters by in insignificant amount. We kind of phoned this one in, but the next one might be special."

70 years old and this has to be the first time I've heard of a company promoting it's product.
