Went to the Auto Show today
Went to the Auto show today to check out the NEW C7. Wow!
Much nicer than I anticipated. It is a beautiful compliment to the C6.
Didn't get a chance to sit in it, but the interior looked very nice.
I love the cyber grey paint with the saddle interior. It's about time
they came out with this combination. It looks very refined.
I thought they might have put the 20" tires all around finally, but no such thing. But they are Michelins finally.
I can hardly wait until the C7 Convertible comes out. Hope it is soon.
That is the one I would want i think!
Not disappointed at all. Start saving Now!

there is another thread in C7 of someone else who saw it in person and raved about . I have a feeling quite a few folks are gonna be eating crow after dissing it here based on pics only , and even further when final performance come in .

I admit I wasn't impressed by the renderings, but the pictures look better than I expected, and I expect I will need a bib for all the drool once I see on in person. The picture of the cyber gray won me over, that, IMO, is the color for that car.

If GM has solved the potential reliability issues related to the new technologies on the LT1 engine (AFM, VVT),
and for all the instrumentation electronics, all the ride control configurations, etc) they could have a real winner
with the C7...(assuming all the performance numbers measure-up).

That's why I'm reserving judgement until I see it in person. Lots of pics, but it's just not the same as in the flesh. I'm hoping they'll have at least one in the Corvette Corral at Sebring in March, they usually bring the latest in Vettes there, and the top brass is always around and willing to discuss at length. Right now I'm about 50/50, some things I like, others I'm not so sure, so I'm willing to wait a bit. It'll really have to knock my socks off for me to want to put my C6 GS up for sale, and as I understand it the wide-body versions are at least a year off anyway.

There are only a few things I did not like on the car. The chrome
stingrays on the sides looked stupid. It took away from the smooth sleek lines of the side view of the car. I did like the amber and red side markers that they incorporated into the wheel lips. Nice touch !
The rear tailpipes showing the quad tips all in a evenly spaced row looked like they should have been that way for the last two generations of Vettes. Did not care for the chrome CORVETTE nameplate on the rear fascia either. Thanks for taking the pictures Deb.

I'm not sure I'm feeling the 4 circular polished tailpipes. With the rest of the car being angular you would expect the exhaust to be angular too. I wonder why they didnt go with one single big outlet like one comes on the Aventador..
or a split upside down trapezoid exhaust kinda of like what comes on the Callaway C6.
Will be interesting to see what types of exhaust the aftermarket brings out for the C7.

yup. When I get a C7 that is definitely something I will do as long as it doesn't affect the sound of the exhaust in a negative way.
