Hmmmm.....vague family resemblance? Nah. I think the C7 will look extraordinarily cool in black....although I'm a red vette kinda guy.

Not feeling the looks at all. To many body lines, too square in the back, it looks like it morphed itself from God knows what! The car lost its heritage and iconic features including the tail end and lack of roundness! Don't like it, also they "estimate" 450hp, they don't know? Great release GM!! Thumbs down!!!

I can't wait to see the refinements over the next 3 years like they did with the C5 and C6. I bet the 2017 year will have 480-490hp and some other tweaks to make me

Everyone will have their opinions and that's the way it should be! My feeling is pretty simple, the car is too busy with all the sharp body lines and too many "shelf" like areas! The car is too flat, no real round sexy curves. The back is cartoon like, to take away the signature round tail lights was just stupid!! The rear glass looks like that of a Datsun B210 I had back in the 70's. To each their own but no way does this car look better than my 427 or a ZR1. Oh and lastly the headlights look pretty Viper to me! And almost forgot, the interior from what I saw looked plastic and lacking in luxury, the Viper interior seems much better to me. In all fairness we have to see the car in person, for now it seems just wrong!!

With all the vents in the stern and that rear hatch, they're trying to make it "LOOK" ...Italian rear engine.
When you try to make something look like something else, it's never good.

It reminds me of a Japanese car with all the vents and surface detailing. The basic shape looks good, and the back is better than I expected. But I think the car will only truly look good in black to make all the vents and stuff blend in.
The interior is fantastic though.

I agree Jerry! My initial post starting this thread suggested the car morphed itself from other cars! The Corvette is iconic, no way should it be following the lead of others. I'm sure the tech and power plant will be very good, they just missed the boat on the design IMO.

Funny! And good find! You know the C7 is not a bad looking car if it was supposed to be something else, it just does not seem to be Corvette anymore! It is not wise to vary too much from success, they did that here!

It's gonna take flared fenders and tires much wider than 285, and higher HP in a convertible to ever get me interested. But I don't think we'll ever get all of those things in a C7.
And there will be no future ZR1 - GM didn't sell enough of them.
My Expectation For The C7Z07:
Flared fenders? NO
HP? 550
Rear Tires: 305 on 20x11 rims
Convertible: NO, not in high-HP version (C6 427 will be the convertible high-water mark)

Unfortunately, this is the first Corvette introduction that I'm not excited about. So sad... I couldn't wait to get a C5 and then the C6.
I love the technology they've put in the car, and I think performance will be great (nothing major over the current cars), but that body is a tough pill to swallow. Too many angles and way too many pieces of screwed/glued on plastic. I agree with some others that said it will only look good in black. Hopefully the Z06 version will be better.
Interior looks great, other than the colored bar running across the dash. I love how they moved it closer to the cockpit style interior of the C4. Hopefully the C7 will get a mid-lifecycle body refresh just like they did to fix the look of the C4.
It will be interesting to see how first year sales go. My prediction: Considering the economy, less than half of the success the C6 enjoyed. Most of the people I know that will love this car can't afford it!
