Safety Car
I'm 35 and have had multiple Corvettes and countless LS powered cars, but as I've aged become a fan of forced induction BMWs and Mercedes. This new Corvette is a grand slam out of the park in my opinion, I'd pay cash for one tomorrow..
...If it were available...

Ive owned a 73, 05, now a 72 which I will be keeping. Plan to buy the year it comes in orange.
I voted like, but have some reservations on it. I dont hate the tailights, but would prefer them round, and get rid ofthat fukn side window.
This MOOKSTER rendering does it 100% for me

Not quite sure how I can prove I'm 14 besides showing you the empty spot in my wallet where a driver's license isn't I always try to come across well spoken, it can only benefit me. Sorry to reopen an old thread, but I felt the need to reply

I'm 23 and I love it. Planning on getting a 2015. 3 main reasons I want to wait for the 2015 models is 1: in case of any "bugs" with the first year, 2: It'll give me more time to save and 3: Insurance goes WAY down once I hit 25

24 here and grew up driving my dad's cam'd c4 and his c5.
At this point I'd need to drive it and I would maybe consider the z06 model
What I like-
-An interrior that doesn't to appear to have some from a $15k ecno car
-sharp lines
What I don't like-
- The black section on the rear, if it was color matched it would be good to go.
- The skinny tires
- cam driven fuel pumps, direect injection, cylinder deactivation
-I hope those seats are actually supportive for hard driving. Integras, sti's, evo's, and mustangs come with reccaros. The CTS-V has a reccaro option. Why couldn't GM work with them to build a good sporty seat?
-I wish it were under 2900lbs
Although I have grown up in corevettes I am by no means a GM fan boy. If this car ends up being a bitch to mod I'll grab a clean C6Z and redo the heads or a street car/track car FRC/c5z.
Then again the BOSS 302/GT500, GT3, and the scuderia are all on my list. I don't shop for a certain car, I shop for the best value.

I know there's an unusual breed of 20-somethings on here that can afford brand new corvettes, and obviously this car was designed with them in mind, but the majority of people this car was apparently made for will not be able to afford it.

37, voted its sick, best view is rear 3/4. Think they should put rear wheels on it that have just a little dish to them around the hub like on the 370z, I think it would give the rear 1/4 a little depth and aggression. Really surprised at all the folks on this forum that didn't see the market for this car with people in their 20's and 30's. Whole lot of singles and DINK's (dual income no kids) nowadays with high income and low overhead.

27 with a Y2K coupe that I bought a little over a year ago. For me, form should always follow function. I don't have much of an opinion either way on the appearance of the C7, but am not particularly pleased with the multi-displacement system, nor am I a fan of the 18/19 or 19/20 wheel combos. I do like the integrated trans and diff cooler ducting, and the focus placed on aerodynamic performance. I'll reserve judgement on the seats until I can sit in one. The HUD and dash look pretty cool, but I would like the inclusion of bespoke shift lights (heck, the FR-S/ BRZ has them!).
All of that being said, I think that the Corvette's continuous move up the cost ladder is leaving a gaping hole in GM's product line. See my comments in the <400 hp "bargain" corvette thread about that...

I'm 27, and a Corvette Fan. As a kid I always thought I was a Muscle Car guy, but then I discovered Sports Car Racing, and the ALMS! Instant Corvette Fan. I worshiped the C6 Z06, it was my dream car, that is until they debuted the C7. Bought an 87 Corvette Z52 in 2008 during my Last Semester at Iowa State. I loved the car but hated 80's quality issues and interior quirks. I took it to a track weekend and had so much fun I decided I wanted to do HPDE events a lot more often, but I figured the old Vette would be too much upkeep, so I sold it and bought a 99 Miata.
...Well I bought a house and got married and had to sell the Miata before I even got to track it... The truth is, while the Miata was a fun car, it was no where near as enjoyable to drive as the Vette. I missed the Grunt of the V8 with its full Melrose Exhaust and Corsa Mufflers.
Needless to say there is a void in my life now, not owning a Sports car.
Currently I have a good job, my wife has an okay job, and is about to graduate with a Bachelors in Accounting, and I have been looking into getting something fun again, and I was thinking C4 ZR1 or C6 Z06. But I am dead set on a C7 now. The interior is just so good, the performance is derived from the track, and the exterior is beautiful.
My plan is to by the next Z06 Model which will hopefully have a next gen 7.0 Liter V8! I hope to purchase before I turn 30 !

Thank you for being one of the few that care about how they sound as they talk. I'm 17 and it really surprises me how few people our age "tlk lyk dis", and it's saddening. I go to an "advanced" high school and some of the freshman this year and last year both submitted semester exams with "u r" or some similar slaughter of the English language in the essay portions.

saw the new gm add on tv where they show the vette, briefly, and thought it was the camaro for sec... does that say enough? lol
I'll make my final decision when i see one in real life, sometime pictures don't do it justice, but thus far, meh... even if they make a zr1 that can beat my current zr1, I'll pass.

I'm 37 and I think this is a SICK car.....
But honestly.. those of us in our 20s and 30s are VERY fortunate to be able to drive Corvettes.... This is no young guys car... unless that young guy has tons of discretionary $$..... BOO -YA!! thats me!!!

My wife and I will be able to afford one in about two years. But the best part is my wife is on board and pushing me to get one, so I have to find a way to afford it! (Pay off Dept and Save)!

It's not about change. It's about bad design. The rear is poorly designed and looks both cheap and silly. Hot is hot and not is not. Been that way ever since man could see.

The c7 has been growing on me. I was truly excited when I saw it in person in Chicago. It looks much better in person than in the pictures!!

I am 32. I like the C7 interior and the incorporated racing technology used; however, I do not like the overall exterior design. I have tried REEEEALLY hard to like it, but I have yet to come around. Also I have not yet seen it in person so this opinion is based only on the countless pictures and videos I have seen.
I much prefer the wide body C6 ZO6(ZO7) and ZR1. I still have hope that I WILL like the C7 Z (or whatever they call it). I did not like the base C5 or C6 either...
