Default Just for comparison sake, Interior of New NSX, C7, R8, & Aventador

Basically I am doing this thread to get your opinions about the quality of the C7 interior compared to the cars listed here.

Now the C7 interior is a great departure of previous Corvettes, and I do like the interior but again I find it lacks some wow effect. The interior is great but its the switches and ***** that they are using that seem so bland and have that cheap plastic look when compared to the other cars mentioned.

The C7 dash layout resembles the Audi's R8 with the Lambo Aventador gauge cluster. I just wished the C7 would have the console of the Panamera, were all the switches are centralized in one area.

In the C7 you have 3 switches to the left of the steering wheel that look like they were bought from some home renovation electrical department. Then you have another switch about 3 inches away (looks like the gauge dimmer switch) mounted on the dash.

On the center console of the C7 the media switches and A/C switches is so plain and dull when compared to the R8 crome over black piano switches or as on the Porsche center console. Not to mention the nice night illumination they have.

Once again the GM bean counters are screwing up. GM's halo car is the C7 and it should have all the quality switches it can get and then some, and a few crome rings wouldn't hurt ( see R8 gauges and the NSX rear speakers, it adds some contrast to the interior and makes it more inviting. Its minor little things like that, that can make a huge difference. So it might cost 50 cents here or a dollar extra there, but anyone buying a C7 wouldn't mind paying a little more for quality switches and detail.

But hey that's my opinion, whether you purchase a C7 to cruise or take it to the track the interior needs to be more inviting.

The concept stingray used in the transformer had a simple clean interior and was inviting to sit in, and the layout had a nice flow to it, add the center console of the Panamera and you'd have a killer interior.

Looks like we're in good company. Who would've thought we'd see the day when we'd be comparing the interior of our little red corvettes to the italian and german supercars...Maybe this is what the Mayans meant?
Should I call the doctor now, cause it's been way more than 4 hours since the debut of the C7, and I can't get out of the house

What is the cost of all of these cars compared to what the C7 will cost?
Plus, isn't the NSX still a concept?

You know the biggest difference I see the interior of the Vette vs the Lambo/Nsx

A stick shift!

Keep your fancy interior. Thank you GM for stalling the demise of the manual for a little longer

You beat me to it. While the other cars do look very nice, the vette is obtainable and affordable. They can start throwing in the same stuff as Audi and Lamborghini but then we would be complaining on price then. I think it's leaps and bounds beyond what we had before.

Even if price were no object, GM can not compete with Audi or Porsche on the interior quality and materials. Never have, and they never will.

GM dropped the ball again, and the game has not even started yet.

GM, Ford, Chrysler, Porsche, BMW and Aston Martin are responsible for keeping the manual transmission alive. Shows us which companies still bother making cars for the car guys and not just auto daily drivers for housewives and dct auto exotics for posers.

Still neither interior of those cars is perfect.

The Panamera center console looks way too busy. The R8 interior styling is nothing spectacular for me the C7 interior looks more stylish and the seats and the steering look better than the R8.

I hope you're joking because there isn't even one sports car at 50k that offers such a good interior. It looks better than the standard boxster's interior too. And when it comes to exterior it makes the narrow boxsters and 911's look like worms. This car is not just for its performance but also asthetically very good value for money. And the interior DOES look better than an R8. Just saying.

I see four very nice interiors.

The NSX does have a hint of Honda in it and a little bland but still very nice. The R8's headliner is pure sex but the dash is too bland, I give the edge to the Corvette in that dept. The Lambo could have any interior it wants cause it's a Lambo lol.

Ok then, how about 70,000. 2013 Audi S6 and 981 Porsche (already shown).. C7 interior is better than C6, but still weaker than Porsche/Audi.

But, the Vette will still be $15K cheaper and a much better performer. There are always trade-offs, you know...

I guess in some fantasy world Vettes will have Audi-quality interiors, but for now I will have to settle for ergonomic excellence, sick performance, and cheap materials (C5Z). When I move up to a C7 someday, at least I'll have nice materials and better-bolstered seats. And I will still be able to go really fast on straights and turns, and stop really quickly. And the car will be stunning. I'll live with that...

Do you have any pics that aren't professional, studio, cgi, or touched up shots?

I guess for comparison sake....

I just bought my wife the new boxster (981), and the interior is beautiful. Second to none. But the car carried a sticker price of 70k. As long as the dash in the C7 doesn't turn white like in my C6 I'll be happy!

For the money...Vette, hands down! The lambo isn't really that much more impressive nor the others for that matter. Great job GM!!!
