Everybody either loves the new C7 or hates it. The point of conversation has been that the car looks a lot like the Camaro re-design of 2010. Well, guess what.....it does and for very good reason.
Look closely at the rear end of the C7 and you will see that it takes on a Modified and slight "V" design like the Camaro. Also the tail lights have been squared off like the Camaro. The from grill also shows some of the Camaro design.
So why does it look like the Camaro? Simple! The Vice President of GM's Global Design department Mr. Ed Welburn and his team were the original concept design people at GM to re-design the Camaro for 2010.
This same team including Exterior and Interior Design people got tossed into the mix for the Re-Design of the C7 Corvette. No wonder some of their Camaro ideas were made part of the new Vette. However, despite the slight plagerizing of the Camaro design and applying it to the C7 Corvette, I gotta say the new C7 Corvette
Stingray shown at the Detroit Car Show is a fantastic looking car. I have owned C3, C4 and currently C5 Corvettes, but I got to tell you, I can hardly wait to get one of these C7's. No pricing is even being guessed at this point and the car is not due to hit dealer showrooms until the third quarter of this year. So guess we will have to wait!
I don't have any money to buy this new one yet, so guess I better open up a Lemon Aid Stand and start saving for my new C7 generation Vette Stingray. I would love to be the first kid in the club to cruise up in a New Shiny Triple Torch Red Targa Top beauty. Bob

gorgeous! needs to have a soft top like new 911 where none of the internal struts are visible either inside or outside. it should seem exactly like a hard top thats just been covered in canvas.

Melting Slicks
...........that's because of that ugly, plastic, stick-on spoiler they put on the car. I'll take my C7 without it..........

Soft-top anything will never be in my garage.
If it's a hard-top vert others in my family may consider it. Wife loved her XLR-V, but wouldn't want a soft-top vert. Mom loves her SL550 and would consider a vette if it were a hard top vert.
I'm not hopeful, but it would be nice.
FRC for me, please. I don't even want a removable roof panel. 1 less thing to squeak

looks like my next vette is going to be C7 vert spiral grey, torch red interior with a black rag top
I will start saving and praying right after I buy my new house and 2014 Tahoe for my growing family, I'm screwed

Sold! Damn it now I'm going to need a C7 Z06 and Convertible. Unless due to having such a stiff frame the C7Z will offer a removable top. That would be amazing!

It happened last night guys. I was looking at pictures and my roommate walked into the room while I was looking at a rear end of the car. His first question....is that the new design for the camaro?
I couldn't believe it!! Someone on here called it. I read in one of the threads that this would happen. I hope he see this post because you were spot on.
FYI, I don't hate the new taillights. Do I think they resemble a camaro, yes. Do I think they should have been round, I would have preferred it. Do I think they look bad, no, it works for the car.
