Default No ZR1 or Z06 for the C7.

According to this link, 4th page:
http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...13Corvette.pdf

Final Model Run — The Corvette’s 2013 model run, the 60th Anniversary
of Corvette’s first model run in 1953, is scheduled to be the final one for the sixth
generation Corvette and marks the end of the following models for some time:
• ZR1
• Z06
I guess the equivalent packages will be named something else?

No, it says "marks the end of the following models for some time". Maybe a couple years? Doesn't say gone forever...

Hold your horses. What does quite a while mean? It has been quite a while now since we all got to see the C7 reveal.

Marks the end of the C6 version of those cars...remember that the C6 Z06 didn't come out till 2006 and the ZR1 til 2009.

i believe they say that to drive sales. they don't want potential buyers to wait for specific models they need sales now.

This is exactly what I would say if I wanted the people, like myself, to buy the C7, instead of waiting for the C7Z

"for some time" most likely means a period of time after the introduction of the C7. Remember that the Z06 didn't arrive until the second model year of the C6, and the ZR1 didn't arrive until a full four years in.

And the C4 ZR1 for what, 6 years? I'm sure there will be a higher performance version.

I will wait. They will make one a year or two down the road. Like everyone mentioned above... they are not going to announce the release date of a higher model or it will drive down the sales of the introduction model.

Still... I will wait and see what they do with the Z06 or ZR1. Im perfectly content with the Z06 I own after seeing the new C7.

This forum is flooded with fear based posting right now. I didn't think there were any more fear topics to discuss but I was wrong. Some people read way too much into things.

"Marks the end of the following models for some time" meaning until the C7 Z06 and C7 ZR1 come out.

To No ZR1 or Z06 for the C7.

I totally agree with some of the above comments. I own a Procharged c5 and C6 grand sport convertible. I will wait for a performance model this time around.

I love how people read quickly through stuff like this and jump to conclusions based off a general comment . I'm pretty sure we won't see 3 more versions like a GS , ZO6 and ZR1 this time around , but you can bet money there will be some high end top dog C7 we just may not see it for couple years

They need a high-end, high performance C7.

And I believe there will be one.

Quick Reply: No ZR1 or Z06 for the C7.
