While at the ALMS races at Road America in August the question was asked if Corvette Racing would retain it's yellow livery for the C7 cars. The answer was yes, but it would be a revised color. Assuming that is still the case, is the Velocity Yellow listed for the C7 a different shade than that of '13 or the same? All I've seen for the C7 yellow are screen pics, not an actual car, so can't really determine. I would think if they had changed the color the name would be altered as well, but who knows...

I agree. If it is not the same shade of the current Velocity Yellow, I would think that they would change the name.

Yes, Randy. I gave them a deposit on 12/31. Still uncertain on my color choice. The answer on yellow is a part of my consideration. I did see the red one at B-J last Saturday but I'm between several ideas of what I want.

So you warmed up to the looks of the C7, what did it for you? Was it after you saw it in person? I know you were debating about passing on the C7.

Yes, I was definitely on the fence with some aspects of it and still am. Seeing it at B-J in person helped. The return of the Z51 package was a consideration as I will then own a C4, C6, and C7 all with it. I'll need to find a '97 with Z51 at some point to complete the set...As much as I follow the racing I'm leaning toward the yellow, but want to confirm it would be the same as the race versions. Hopefully by the time actual ordering takes place in May(?) there can be some confirmation of the color. The Lime Rock green is also on my radar, but I need to see more than a screen image. It, or the yellow, would be different than the reds and blacks I've had on my previous ones.

i really like the yellow. a lot but i got some sort of corvette code to not own the same color twice.

02' was a yellow. It was HOT.

the new yellow is a great looking color too.

I am thinking I may go black or that metallic grey.

I suggest that you contact Pratt&Miller as the the paint code that they use on the race cars. I believe it is the same yellow as on the production cars, but I am not 100% sure of that. They will be able to confirm a stock color or a special blend they use.

Good suggestion-I'll follow up here if I get an answer. I assumed it was the same color as production cars as well, but being a tri-coat color on the consumer cars maybe not.
