As in you think that's what the MSRP will be? Or you think that's how much people will be paying? I assume it'll be very possible to negotiate a decent deal by the 2nd model year.

But yeah, I'm really anxious to see some final numbers on this car. Everything from price, to weight, to power, etc.

I think that's what MSRP will be. I would assume a couple grand more if they come out with DCT.

Well part of the problem is I don't see anywhere on there whether Power Door locks, and windows as an Option. I think it's so standard now in modern cars that you can't even get manual windows on the C7?

Which presents a few unique problems if that's the case. Namely in the rails, and finding a gear drive to work with the C7's window guides. That and making an interior panel for the manual windows without it looking like some redneck took a hole saw to the interior panel, and then finding a manual window lever that looks like it belongs in the C7.
Were there any C6s out there with manual windows and door locks?

All C6's come with power standard.. power driver seat, power windows, locks. I don't think crank windows will happen unless you custom fab it up yourself

Well the Magnetic Ride Suspension option on the current 13 Z06 lists for $2495.00. Then add in the Z51 goodies and I might not be far off. Of course if you don't get the Mag Ride Suspension it would be less, hopefully.

Not that I've ever seen...I bet you can't even find them in a C5.

No Z51 for me. I don't plan on taking my car to a track.

Z51 is the only way to go in a Vette.

Guess I don't understand why anyone would need a Z51 unless you circle track race. Sure don't need it for drag racing. In fact you don't want it for drag racing other than for the lower gear but the "lower gear" they are offering I'm sure isn't going to be low enough for drag racing. Electronic differential, don't all vettes come with locking differential non-electronic. That's all I need.

a lot of C6 owners would disagree

There is a reason it's a option

I will if I can't get a good deal on a left over C6. The C6 is still a nice car and a Vette is a Vette.

Well when I get mine, I guess we all know what the first thing on my To Do list is while the car is new.

That'll be a fun thread. I wonder how many people will fuss at me for making it ''primitive and medieval''.

I've got plenty of left over seat rails from a few Gen 3 camaros, and a couple Gen 4s. So I can ditch that power seat junk easy enough

Were I buying a base C7, I'd option it up with Z51 and MR shocks, no questions asked. Throw in the Competition seats and decked-out interior, and I'd be a happy track rat.

But I won't be buying a base C7...

I have yet to see a base C7. That has a lot to do with my decision. I assume there is a different or no rear spoiler. I also have not seen a car with 19" rear wheels. I know the factory wheel is not as cool IMO as the Z51 wheels. I have a Z51 now with a 3:15 rear which I do not like. The car is also firmer then I like but I switched to Michelin tires and cured that. So my question is, can anyone, for sure, show me a picture of a base car?

Almost forgot, you get shorter gearing with the Z51 package too.
I'm afraid it will be twice that maybe three times higher. There is a lot of upgrades in the package. I would delete the dry sump oil system if I could.
