The coolest thing is that a bunch of stingray together are referred to as a "fever"....... Maybe someone should start a magazine now called corvette fever"..

Those are Cownose Rays. They are typically light brown or tan in color on their top side.

During migration (as they are in the pic) they can reach #'s in the range of 10,000 in a school.

I have seen these for purchase at a local Aquarium store. Amazing animal.

Awesome pic, great find keeks

"The C7 Does a WHAT around Nurburgring! We must get the C7 banned from ALMS and Rolex Grand Am!"

^Prediction based on what GT5's times have given us so far.

Based on some of the times I have seen and the video's, these are not real as to what a stock C7 on the factory tires will turn a lap at the ring. most are with in 10-15 seconds of the ZR1 lap time and A few were faster. No way will this base C7 turn a low 7 minute lap.

I don't think 7:25-7:27 is unreasonable to expect for this car. New better chassis (and boy did it feel like it with the limited seat time I've had so far), more brake pad surface than the ZR1 even has (It may not have the carbon rotors, but pad surface area means ALOT more than most people think about honestly).

The ZO6 with Sport Cup Rs ran a 7:22 in real life. (only 3 seconds off the ZR1s best time)
I haven't done a blast around The Ring yet in GT5 in the C7. Most of my personal seat times are based from Laguna Seca and Infineon.

Even if GT5 high balled it's potential and the car is only capable of 7:30 to 7:32s with the Z51 that's plenty enough to give Porsche grounds to start crapping their pants. I mean just imagine it, an L88 Small block with turbo cranking 700 on the C7s chassis. Even if they don't go to a wider tire that'll be utterly devastating.

It is rather interesting that GM is using a graphic that show nothing close to a stingray... Cow-nose rays or eagle rays (if they were spotted) is closer to the logo. For those who really care for this level of detail this is a video of a stingray I shot in Grand Cayman...Ellen (my wife) was doing the still shots and I was doing the video of her and the ray>>>

I know this is more info than some would want, but does make me think why a designer would show a graphic (yes stylized) of something that really is not close to the name of the creature In the 18th and 19th centuries a stingray was also know as a 'devil fish' due to its eyes... a Corvette Devil Fish

I am going to venture to say, is because the 59 Sting Ray race car as well as the 2009 Concept car has similar images on their sides. Just a guess.

Good stuff! I am always amazed at how clear the water is in the Caymans. Your wife has a nice setup there...like the shot and very nice color balance too!

Really? How's all that fit under the smaller caliper?

IMO my Stock C6 ZO6 out muscled it's rear OEM 325 Goodyears. The Michelin 345 PSS's seem to keep the power in check. My point is GM will need to find a way to transfer 700 ponies to the asphalt with a STREET tire and a "skinny "tire is not going to cut it,C7 chassis or not.

Well to make a long story short.....
Way back in the day I was a heavy Mobsters player on MySpace and I was starting my own sub crew of 314 Mafia Family called Criminal Psyc Ward....anyway came accross this "logo" from a band called Psyc Ward, thought it looked pretty cool.....and that's the story.
I am not familiar with anything of the band just liked the Logo.

Aren't ya glad you asked?
