Hmm... Pretty much what Bigg_Gunz was saying over in the other forum. Injectors sized for 1000+ hp.. E85..Twin turbos... This does well on Flexfuels : http://www.koenigsegg.com/models/agera-r/

Cheers

Here is the list, FYI:

1) weight
2) chassis stiffness
3) braking
4) aerodynamics
5) grip level, traction
6) gearing
7) torque curve
8) horsepower (power under curve, NOT PEAK POWER)

All of the above are supposedly light years better than the current C6 (which is already a world-beater) based on the interviews and marketing materials I've seen so far.

Thanks for the lesson Einstein! Now I can sleep better for being wowed by your vast knowledge of all things Vette!

I hope they bring back the eight-track/CB Radio offered as an option in the 1982 year, just for the retro look, and most likely they will change the rear lights to be round again.

OMG we are finally getting a flying car?

I have been waiting since 1970 when Popular Science said we wouyld have flying cars by 2000 (OK at least that is the way I remember it!). I have been sorely disappointed since 2000.

OK, ....unexplored territory.......hmmmmmmm do I hear a turbine spinning up? That would be so coll, it could run on almost any fuel. No problem getting 600 hp out of a lightweight compact package.

My guess is that it actually more mundane and less "unexplored".

Small gas turbines powering the generators in a hybrid, like the Jag concept?

Callin it now. Factory Turbo Charging.

Rear mounted turbos, easily gets around the stupid CAFE ''you can't move the cats'' regulation.
Or, due to the chassis vastly superior stiffness maybe the first convertible, that adds 0 weight.

Electric motors or KERS system would be a good bet if they wanted to do something radical.

Well, what we need is totally useless videos, of guys standing around looking at their phones and ipads... hypeing up the C7.

remember just 6 months ago, how 450hp was enough cause the new vette would be as light as a feather. well the C7 is going to be bigger and fatter, so more power is needed to get the power to weight ratio better than a c6.

Getting a little jaded on all the rumors, just build it and give it to car and driver. then all the ******** hype stops.

Dam I always thought 450 was enough for me. Now what, engine envy?
Please Mr. GM I thought I had the big one and now I can't go to the garage and let the others guys see mine. Horsepower horsepower...

No a turbine like in a helicopter. Runs on anything and is very compact. Those little turbines for a hybrid car are too small. I am think more in the 600-1000hp. Very lightweight compared to V8. So it is a little loud and blows dust everywhere and there is that hot exhaust. That is really just for the people outside the car!

I suppose if they wanted to do a PTO for a generator and and do a heavier hybrid for the greenies.........

They almost went there in the 50's, but much lower power.

They brought back the stingray name and now their bringing back the L88 name, probably dropping the ZR1 name. I thinking the new L88 will be a supercharged LT1.

just give me two micro turbines, 4 elec motors, small battery back (light) and 1000 ft lbs like the Jag CX75 prototype, and keep it under 100k

one day soon this will be "production ready" it just takes mass production of these little hummers to bring the cost down, and the micro turbines are getting more affordable all the time. they'll run on about anything that burns too which is kinda cool.

full 4 wheel drive, instant off the line grunt, and puttering around town on batteries, with the ability to crooze at 200 mph on "restricted autobahns"

oh well, if I'm going to dream, dream big, but it's where I'd love to see the vette go. don't need no mid engine vette, give me turbines!!
