Yeah, in race trim. I was talking about the production variant you posted in that photo above. In production trim those are ducts. In any event, this looks like it could be the exact car in the mirror image.

I was offering evidence that the two cars could be (likely are) Vipers; one a standard production Viper, the other in race trim.

Should have been a flat bottom version. Reminds me of the Gumby wheel from the first C6.
It is actually Corvette's smallest SW ever....

At Laguna Seca, the C6 ZR1 is not only faster than the new Viper and much easier to drive at speed, but it is also faster than the Ferrari 458 Italia, the Lamborghini Aventador, the Lexus LFA, the Audi R8 GT, the Porsche GT3 RS, and the Nissan GT-R.

So, I think these rear view mirror views are simply foretelling the future.
You forgot to mention that the ZO6 is also faster than all the above at Laguna Seca. And the new C7 Z51 is supposedly matching the ZO6 at VIR. We're in for some fun times ahead.

I personally don't hate the C7 steering wheel, I just don't care for it very much. The "stingray'ish" shape of the center section is IMO overboard. I also think the grip diameter could be a bit bigger.

There's a lot of subliminal stingray shapes all over this car. Looking at the car in plan view there's more. Look straight down at the dash with the mid level leather spec and it's there also. I like the total integration look. It's kind of fun to discover those details with a martini in hand.

Unfortunately, I'm painfully aware of all the stingray shapes. It's overdone by a large margin for my tastes.

Notch, we know that you have a affinity for the 911 and Porsches seems to use the subliminal geometries of their design vocabulary to much success. They tend to use curvilinear forms throughout their line up, from 911 to Boxter to Panamera

That is what it looks like when you hit the NOSS, I seen it in To Fast To Furious.

And according to the GPS they are speeding in the city.

For those who hate the C7 steering wheel, you can always go back and get yourself the original C6 steering wheel.

There is a big difference between curvilinear forms and the shape of a specific fish. The curvilinear forms are not intended to specifically represent anything.

That wheel is butt-ugly. C6 steering wheels, though used in many GM cars, was a very good design without any gimmicks. The whole interior just looks like a mish-mash of odd shapes

I agree and I think the Z51 with magnetic shocks is going to be the ultimate street racing Vette and autocross performer while the ZO6 and ZR1 variants will become even more in the way of track monsters.

The Z51 appears to be an absolutely killer multi use street sports car that can play at a very serious level while still remaining below $70,000.

You mean as in a beetle? I'm sorry Notch but I just had to do that. All in jest ! 911-991 looks great.
