2014 Corvette C7 orders~I will have the allocation...Mike Furman 301 212 4420
http://www.corvetteonline.com/news/s...ing-the-new-c7
As many of you know I sell Corvette's and have done so for 34+ years. Criswell Chevrolet will have the allocation for the NEW 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. Criswell is the 3rd largest Corvette dealer in the Country and the bulk of the allocations will go to the top selling Corvette dealers. Please don't leave your deposit with a Corvette dealer that states "Allocation will be no problem", chances are they will not get nearly as much allocation. There are 3,000 Chevrolet dealerships in the Country so why should you order from me?...I can drop ship, enclose trailer, Corvette Museum Delivery or you can take delivery the old fashioned way-at Criswell Chevrolet. I will not mark up from MSRP and plenty of dealers will. Call 301 212 4420 which is my desk direct phone line...I have over 2,500 Corvette customers in my book of business after 34+ years of selling Corvette's. I am a Corvette enthusiast selling Corvette's and I make it FUN and seamless as it should be.
Best Regards,
Mike Furman "Ambassador for the Corvette Museum"

The Corvette factory will be producing the Stingray at the rate of 18 per hour...the last few years of the C6 had a production rate of 8 per hr. Criswell Chevrolet is the 3rd largest Corvette dealer in the Country so we will have the allocations. I am not marking them up from MSRP.

2005 Corvette sales-37,372
2006 Corvette sales- 34,021
2007 Corvette sales- 40,561
2008 Corvette sales- 35,310
Those are the numbers GM looks at...not the final yrs of a generation.

It has nothing to do with the "hate"...Its about the history of sales.

My saying the "hate" of the C6 was sarcasm, but nothing else shows me that the sales of C7's will be that much better then the past few years of C6's sales.
Are the sales of Porsches, BMW, M-B, Jaguar, Ferrari, etc going to fall to zero for the 2014 model year and those people will buy C7's?
I just don't see the size of the 2014 C7 market suddenly tripling in size over the market for 2013 C6's. Some sales increase, sure, as the C7 is the latest, but 300% over the outgoing C6 is hard for me to swallow.

I have been thru 4 generation changes now(C7) since I started selling Corvettes. What I see happening is that many people that have never owned a Corvette get into the frenzy of a truly "Next" generation Corvette. The best true example I can quote accurate figures for was 1984. The 1984 back in its day was the "Next" all of it had to have it great thing Corvette wise. So many people that had never owned a Corvette got in line. 1984 Corvette sales totaled 51,547. Trust me, I could be all wrong but as I stated in the beginning I am just going by history and my first hand knowledge of selling Corvette's for 35 yrs. I still feel barring any major hiccups that the 2014 Corvette sales numbers will be North of 35k.

Would you happen to know what shipping costs to Phoenix or Los Angeles would be?
Also, how much of a deposit would you require? Thanks.
(By the way, is Dan Drayton still there. He used to post on the Lotus forums when Criswell had the franchise)

I would need an exact zip code to quote a shipping cost from Maryland to AZ/LA but a good guess is $1600 for enclosed trailer fully insured.
$1,000 deposit for C7 order...refundable.
