Hey GM I Have A Better Idea For The Sting Ray Emblems!
I noticed at the Auto Show today that the C7 has no mirror or fender mounted turn signal repeater. Sooo what do you think of instead of chrome Sting Ray emblems they make them out of clear plastic and put an amber LED in the now translucent Sting Ray's and use them for more than just a decoration?

Could be an ok approach, aside from the fact so many people that wanna remove them would then be stuck with them. I think it'd be a good aftermarket product (not that I'd pay .05 for it...but you know those old boys will gobble that up), but too gaudy for OEM.

Curious if there are holes behind the stingray emblem to accomodate the European side turn signal requirements.

Different strokes for different folks.
For as large as the Corvette community is, it is so much more divided than any other. Back in my Mustang days there was very little hate towards people who made suggestions such as the OPs.

I believe this is where they got the idea from.

Other than for marketing purposes, I don't know why GM brought back the stingray name in the first place. Because I don't see the connection, visually or other places.
But since they did....I think GM should have used stingray script, instead of the fish.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see the fish emblem gone entirely - by the time actual production begins.
Which ironically, would probably make it a prized collectors piece!

I don't really care one way or the other about the Stingray emblems. I find it very disappointing, though, that the car doesn't have some form of turn signal repeaters on the side fenders or in the outside mirrors. It seems like great safety feature that would have been a no-brainer in a newly-designed car.
