If you are buying a c7, what car are you coming from?

So it seems the majority of people who will get a c7 base or z51 aren't coming from high HP performance cars like a zo6,zr1, gt500, etc etc.
Overwhelming majority are coming from cars of the current performance. That is very interesting indeed. I guess with the current info this car is not good enough to nudge the high performers out of their cars.
I'd be willing to sacrifice a bit more performance for more comfort and creature comforts. When I compared my 13 shelby to a 2013 GTR even though the GTR does 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and I could probably never get the shelby to go 0-60 in 3.6 like it is suppose to they felt the exact same to me.
So if this c7 goes 0-60 in say 3.9 I'm wondering if I couldn't tell the difference between 2.8 and 3.6 how can I with 3.6 and 3.9? It seems the base c7 is just as fast as a zl1 which is plenty fast I think.
Though I am hesitant because I rather buy a car that has more carbon fiber like the zo6 and zr1 do. Plus I need the car to have a real carbon fiber splitter.

96 BMW 850ci. To be honest I've been waiting for US to build a better sports car after driving an Audi R8 and Ferrari 458. I must say I'm a little disappointed there's no sign of a DCT. Call me lazy but I see no point in a manual and think a 7 speed manual borders on the insane.

'03 C5 convertible, probably will keep my '87 Grand National and '86 MB 560 SEL as summer drivers. I have a bunch of others but they're not insured for the road, probably sell some of them off one by one to get the money I need for the C7.

Though the aventador and up till now the r8 were single clutch no one complained about them. Even the LFA is single clutch.

My ZR isn't going anywhere any time soon. It's just too damned much fun to drive. I don't need or want 3 vettes, so if they make a C7 that has equal or better performance as my Callaway (which is also a kick to drive), then maybe it gets sold/traded and replaced with a high perf C7 model.

We'll be keeping his 2010 Camaro and my purty ride over there to the left (2011 Grand Sport) and adding to our sports car stable with a new Stingray convertible when they are available. Hopefully I can get a high performance version of the convertible, I just don't want to wait too long.

Selling my Mercedes SL either way and possibly my Range Rover HSE Supercharged.
But it will probably be a year or so before I get one. And not sure if it will be a coupe or convertible but it will definitely be a 3LT loaded model.
