Anything less than avoiding an object in the road will be told by the skid marks that may well suggest something like twice the speed limit

If that is the case GM may have worn out their welcome mat for road testing in Arizona
To bad GM doesn't have a place like Milford Proving ground to drive their cars at their limits. Instead they have to use a public road to see it if it will pull 1g or do over 6o MPH, to see it the black plastic vents are working.

WOW I am impressed ! Can we hire you ? I repeat most accidents are caused by driver error ! I don't care about a scientific explanation about down force. I know what down force is. The car was wrecked by either driver error, or he exceeded the cars limitations, or mechanical failure, or he was run off the road in which the fault would lie elsewhere .
Dude, don't take yourself so seriously.

Doesn't bode well for all the bragging they've been doing about aero and handling!!!

Yeah, bump draft her all the way around Talladega. But, after the big "C" back in 2001, my bump drafting days are over.

No - just roll a vert, it holds up better!

I'm glad you entertain yourself and find yourself so funny with your constant digs. Keep up the good work.

The car has already been fully revealed, why not just pull over and let the press take all the pictures they want and then be on their way? And what kind of supercar C7 can't outrun the press?

I can see them catching a Porsche, but they wouldn't catch my C6Z, not on their life.

It does show him on a cell phone when he was parked.
Do you think maybe he was playing with his phone just before he ran off the road?? Cell phone driving is drunk driving!!

Can you imagine how much worse it would have been with skinny tires? Probably would have rolled!

You missed jr3's point. A lot of posters thought the photo was a fake. jr3 pointed out that the roof had popped in the wreck, good catch on jr3.

And if you look at the passenger side of the rear deck spoiler, you will see that the quarter panel is shoved in enough to put a good size wrinkle in the spoiler.

Not at all - It sounded like he was making a comment on the stiffness of the frame. It truly seems like a real accident. IMO..

Default Chevrolet confirms C7 accident...

Just got this from the marcomm guys at Chevy:
monte.doran@chevrolet.com

We can confirm that during routine testing, a Stingray was involved in a one-car accident.

During evaluation, the driver caught the inside tire caught the edge of the pavement during a tight corner, leading to the accident. Thankfully, no one was hurt, the car received only minor damage, and no citations were issued.

Best,

Monte
