Did anyone notice, that only one person seemed to recognize it as a "new" Corvette! The guy in a blue shirt crossing the street toward the camera on the left. Almost broke his neck. So what does that say about the new Vette?...not so outstanding as to make people gawk!
I had a Ferrari 360 for a couple of days this past summer (not mine) and most people didn't notice it at all... those that did were likely car enthusiasts or young men.
Making your conclusion that the car is "not so outstanding to make people gawk" based on that one guy in the video is completely out to lunch

Never owned a red car before. C7 will be my first.
Car looks amazing in red with the black wheels... or maybe competition grey wheels.... i think that will be an option in the next year or two.

Black wheels are everyone's cup of tea but they are very popular in the performance crowd... Porsche, BMW, MB, Lambo, etc all have lot of cars with black wheels. I agree with many here that it doesn't always work but there are broad views on the subject and lots of people love the look.

90% (or some large piece) of the general public don't take notice of cars, period. Also, how do you know he recognizes it as a "new" Corvette and not just a cool car? 95% (or some larger piece) of the population would have no idea what the C7 Vette is yet!!! Considering the guy who took the video noticed the car and recorded it and the guy in the blue shirt broke his neck, seems to be the car did get "gawked" at!!
