It was the same thing with the C6. Many bashed the C6 when it was introduced and now it's a favorite for most, especially the ZO6 and ZR1. It's the other way around too. Some of the C7 supporters bash the C6 saying it looks obsolete and so and so, although they had one at once. I personally think the C7 looks better than the C6 did in the introduction pictures and videos. Base model for base model, it looks like more design work went into the C7 which is a good thing.

I love the black rims. Also this is the first C7 that I have seen that has the carbon fiber roof but not the body color surround, does it acutally have the transparent roof panel. Also first C7 I have seen with the Carbon flash painted spoiler and mirrors option on it. Nice

It looked like it was out of place sitting there at that traffic light though. It looked like an exotic pet on someone's leash clearly not wanting to be playing ''nice''.

Hey!! I LIKE my 15 Tommys...They go great with my VY ride and I wear a different one for each weekend of the summer and when I run out near the end of the summer, I just throw on a wife beater.
That's what some of us "older" C-guys do, so???!!!

Sorry guys .Not many NEW hipro cars strutting their stuff with chrome. God ,even the exterior trim work is flat aluminum or matte finished. Chrome is playing itself out!

As I said before, I have owned cars that the general public would perceive as "nicer" than a Corvette (not that they in fact are) and the vast majority of folks don't even notice them. People who frequent this forum would likely notice all nice cars but we are in a huge minority. Do think if a C6 was at the light the entire crowd would gawk at it. Um, nope. Likely the same guy with the blue shirt. The other guy with the white shirt crossing in front would have been oblivious to any car. Anyone who notices and appreciates cars would have noticed and looked at the C7 regardless as to whether they like it. I guarantee you that even Petermj would have looked and gawked (and then would report how he still dislikes the car)

Who cares what pedestrians think as long as you are happy with it? Besides we like cars more than normal people. Could you imagine a Home & Garden forum with a similar video of a "new" rose bush planted outside the office and the comments, "kinda sad all those men walked past and didn't even look.".

Now, I'm not big into flowers but if it were say a gigantic 10 foot tall Venus flytrap with its' gapping maw waiting to swallow a small person, YES, I would stop and gauk. The only cars equivalent to that level of ridiculous look-at-me factor are Vipers and Lamborghinis.

That one guy in the crowd that swiveled his head around to follow it is one of us.

The guy crossing the street in front of the car was probably more concerned with getting across the street w/o being hit than paying attention to what kind of car was sitting there.

Had it been me, however, I would have **** my pants if I saw the Stingray sitting there.

I prefer chrome wheels. It just pops. Black wheels look too washed out.
But I could be interested in a black chrome version.
