Base Price = Cheaper than expected
Options = More expensive than expected

That 3LT show car was $73k... yikes. Even without the competition seats its still a $71k car.

Excellent pricing! The C7 is affordable, and no manufacturer can touch this at these prices. To get a nicely sorted out track car for this price is amazing.

It's funny the press release doesn't mention the dry sump engine oiling system for the Z51 package. That may be the most expensive part of the entire package.

That car is pretty much completely loaded. With the options I would personally want, it would be about $65K MSRP, which is about what I was hoping for.

51k for the 4x4 model and 73k for a highly optioned Z51 3LT. Everything in between probably will average 60k-65k. GM is taking a page out of Porsches' playbook here...

I dont know how anyone can justify adding 20K for NON performance options on a PERFORMANCE car.

I give props to GM marketing, they are taking a page from Porsche on how to properly add value to their cars. Well in the showroom at least.

I will say a nicely discounted base coupe will be a lot of car for the money.

Makes me wonder if they will ever dial in the production to keep demand high through a production cycle.

427, if only 5% of the C7 buyers want AWD do you think it is worth it for the Vette to be desigined to handle this? You must understand that the cost for AWD will be sharred between all sold C7's, not just the AWD versions. Now I can see the argument on the DCT. I would think GM looked into it and at this time they could not find a 3rd party one that would work for the Vette, and the cost to build one in house that would not be sharred between different cars would not allow them to do it at this time. I do think you will see DCT within the next 3 years or so.

Now, add the options of a Dual Clutch Transmission and All Wheel Drive and GM will have a world class sports car.

Until then, the C7 will remain second rate to the competition in 2013.

My C6 ZO6 was world class in 2006, and I'll stick with my C6s until GM decides to actually compete with the competition in 2013 instead of being a second rate "value" sportscar.
Nobody gives a crap about your second rate opinion.

SD1, look at current C6 pricing. 4LT (which is the same as C7 3LT) is $9500. GM is smart on how they do the pricing. If you want a fairly base car that will freaken run buy the 1LT Z51 (55k). If you want one that has the interior that many on this and other boards have crushed the C6 for not having pay the 8k for 3LT and the 4k for the other stuff. I do not think any one can complain about this price structure.

Yeah, but IMO a Z51 2LT with MRC and NPP for $62k is a great bargain. Add Nav for another $795.

Does it really matter who posted this first?

I told them not to add options of DCT and AWD to this because i don't want you to buy this car. Stick with your Z06 and let others enjoy the C7. If you don't like either, move to other brands that provide this in $55k.

Thanks

So for base..what would a use one go for in 12-18 months? Would 42-45k be a fair price range?

I interpret them as saying, "We've listened to you complain for too long now STFU!"
