An insightful post.

The C7 is the pace car. The race is in a couple of weeks. The race needs mini fleet of identical cars. If this were a random rainbow assortment of colors why cover them up? That cow has left the barn.

One could also say that the Stingray Pace Car has been shown so why cover them up?

A lot of car carriers leak oils and hydro. fluid all over cars when they haul them. And lots of dead bugs and road dirt get on the cars during shipping. Maybe the car covers are there to help protect the cars from all that shipping dirt, bug guts, grease, and oils.

Don't know if it's the new standard but saw a truckload of Audis covered like that yesterday.

those are just shells. gm needs to make sure covers are secure enough for over the road transport without hurting finish prior to production and delivery. they sent transports out to several locations through flatlands, hills and valleys.

On the way to and fro, we see a lot of auto transport traffic. Not unusual to see transport cars with white film blockson the roof, trunk, and hood. Never seen a full cover with window holes. Trying to hide something which adds to the mystique. And gives us something to blog about.

I subscribe to the theory that they are identical blue coupes headed to Indy

The same trailer was spotted off of I-75 in Ohio. I believe it was before this pic was taken (in the morning) as the sky looked.

Using state of the art computer analysis on this photo, within 94.7% degree of accuracy, it was determined this photo was taken from atop a grassy knoll. There may have been a second photographer in the Book Repository building - but no shots were taken from there . . . . .

Correct, spotted in a mall parking lot in Piqua, Ohio this morning. I would post a pic, but seems I am not allowed to add attachments.

Have to be a Silver or Gold member to add attachments. You can use a free service like Photobucket to host your photos and then you can display them directly in your posts. See the Help forum for further information.
