C7 with Matte or Satin color / finish
Since the C7 has some exotic looks to it. Would you go a step further and buy a factory matte or satin color on a C7 if it were offered?
The color GM put on the new Z/28 at the NY Auto Show looked pretty good (satin pearl white). So we know they have played around with some of those colors.
As a buyer would you order a C7 with a color painted in the matte or satin finish if it were an original factory option?
If yes,.. what color would you like?
Spoon83 posted a pic over in the C6 section with a satin clear finish. Kinda gives an idea of what a matte red may look like...

I know most people dont want to change the original finish on their car, but i was thinking maybe more people would concider the finish (satin/matte) if it were an original factory option.

From what I have read these matte finishes are really difficult to maintain. Dirt , hand prints and oil grease etc. you can not wax or polish them.. I am really not educated enough on these finishes . That is what I have read.

Absolutely not. I don't like the matte look on cars.

Matte red looks pink to me. This is why they don't offer microfibre "suede" in red.
Silver and white though look amazing. It removes he reflections and you can see the more subtle blending of the curves.
Would I do it? No. But I see the attraction. It is a hassle thought to repair properly and some people think it always looks like you need a wax job.

This. Also, I've read, it's damn near impossible to "touch up" or refinish/panel-match a matte finish.

Looks ok on an Army truck or tank and that's about it IMO.

Impossible to maintain (have you read the instructions from BMW on its limited special edition matte finish cars?).
Also, personal opinion, looks like it is undergoing restoration and will soon head (and need to) go back to the paint booth to have its primer paint covered over with its final paint.

I like the look on some cars, some colors. Fun to see at car shows. With that said, I wouldn't purchase it or have it on one of my cars even if it were a no charge option.
