excellent point. For 1k I don't see the value in what you get; which to me is a "starter kit." I would imagine for around that price or less we'll see a complete interior kit available very soon on the aftermarket. I am however, conscious that for some folks less is more and the GM offered CF dash will be just right. For those folks, the 1k might represent great value.

At the Bash it was mentioned there would be full length stripes and a "stinger" stripe offered. No need to worry about an option code, these vinyl stripes aren't factory installed anyway. When they become available just order them if you want them and have them installed

Everyone needs to keep in mind, you can order the base car for $51,000 and get a great looking car with a good interior. Or option it up from there. Some people will buy the base and add all the aftermarket custom stuff. Or rip it out and put in a cage to go racing. And thats fine, too.
I think it is great GM offers a car with no frills but allows you to check the boxes and get all the goodies if you want. Remember, not everyone can afford or want the $8005 3LZ package.
The car can be configured many different ways and thats what people deserve....a choice.

I saw and sat in the same car. One of the details I had never noticed before was the C7 symbols used for the black-to-glass transition. I was told it was the idea of one of the handlers from GM that was at the event, so I thanked him, I love that little touch.
I also did a video walkaround
