Default carbon fiber roof

Do you prefer the painted carbon fiber or exposed?

I love the look but not 2 grand worth.

What I would spend a grand on is a Lexan roof with the painted side spears...otherwise painted it is.

Being able to get that open cockpit feeling is more important to me than exposed carbon fiber. This is the first corvette that I think looks a little worse without at least the painted side spears to pull the car together aesthetically.

I might like the carbon fiber look better, but not for the money. I ordered painted.

Painted. It isn't necessary for esthetic purposes IMO.

Painted, why spend the money to have something that does not blend with the rest of the paint, just my opinion.

I considered the exposed CF as well but not for $2,000-went with standard painted.

One of the best parts of a vette coupe in my opinion is the transparent roof. Gives you that open and airy feeling. I'm going with the nonCF regular transparent as I have no idea how the CF roof differs and even gold plated wouldn't be worth $2K to me. Now I just have to remember to relatch the roof before driving.....my name is lottavettes and I am a 3 time flying roof club member...

The other reason I prefer painted is that the color helps the flow of the roof line vs breaking it up with a very dark color.

Even if I get a coupe, I will hardly ever remove the targa top for that very reason...I just don't like how abruptly the body line gets broken up with the targa gone.

Maybe one of these on a latch will help.

This. The loss of the bubble back glass/ targa hoop on the C7 results in a very chopped up look with a transparent top, unless the car is a very dark color.

I think it depends on the car color. Cyber gray I would say yes. CRM I would say no. So it is a matter of more then one thing , but ends up being personal choice...
