I am not getting drawn into this argument. As a "Motörhead" I have no interest in batteries.
Any word used by a majority of the population then becomes accepted. Tell them in NASCAR they are using the incorrect term..LOL. I guess I did get drawn in...

Your poll needs an additional option. Does not care...

Hmmm, Detroit is the "Motor City".

We call this a "motorboat".

This is a "motorcycle".

It will have both.
But I am assuming you are referring to the main energy converter that puts the car in motion......um, that would be an engine silly.

Are you referring to a internal combustion engine or an external combustion engine?

Hmm I don't know... Will it be a General Engines product, or a General Motors one?

Well I think the LT1 will be a fine engine, I am sure there are a few motors in the C7 which will drive windows and such. Even though they call a Switch Engine (Train talk) which pulls train cars a engine, all modern systems are driven by electric motors, powered indirectly by diesel engines into generators producing electrical energy for the motors.

The term "motor" for an engine has bothered the sht out of me for many years. I wish you hadn't brought this up.

The car will have quite a few "motors". The ones that adjust the seats. The ones that raise and lower the windows, the one that is used to start the motor.....er, I mean engine......

Sorry its stressin' you out...if I'd have known that I'd never have done it!

I was watching a program on development of different motors/engines and that gave me the idea for this poll. They talked about how this motors/engines naming thing is still a big point of contention in the scientific community.

I was taught many years ago the difference. It's not even open for debate.
