I said it before and I'll say it again, the c7 does indeed look brand spankin new and futuristic compared to the c6.

However, new or different are not interchangeable terms for better contrary to what many "GOTTA BE THE FIRST ON MY BLOCK!" types think. The C7 is overstyled and cartoonish, much like the camaro. I'll support the corvette team i guess, but I wouldn't be caught dead in one. C6, red/red C4, or even C5 Z06(not huge fan of the looks but raw fun factor is nuts) for me over c7 any day.

The one thing this pic shows that I've never really noticed, is how broad yet bland the Z front bumper is.

Bring on the "old fart" "grandpa" and "go back to the nursing home" comments.

I wasn't going to reply to this "out there" post until I saw this sentence. But wow, the C7 has the best, most exciting front styling of all the generations, and I've owned em all.

I didn't think they made those anymore, the bug catcher screens can go as well, both bad angles for two good looking cars

It's not "out there" at all. Someone preferring a previous gen to a new one? What blasphemy lol!!!

I was however, referring to the z06 bumper. The c6 bumper doesn't have tons of detail to it.

Btw, I just turned 25, and all my car friends have mixed feelings about the c7. Its not some over the hill folk hate it, young guys love it blanket statement for the few that seem to think that.

We're at Virginia International Raceway for the NCM HPDE and we have 3 C7's here with us. They are really gorgeous cars. Anyway, here's my '08 Z06 with a Night Race Blue Z51 C7.
Thanks for the cool photo. The carbon black stripes on nightrace blue are very interesting and subtle. I'll bet it's Kirk Bennion's ride. He always does something interesting with stripes

You could fix it with a little black Plasti-Dip in an hour or two.

C6 looks like the male, c7 looks like the female. Sure the female looks prettier in the face (front end) with the pretty eyes (headlights), mascara (running lights), big grille (nice lips), etc, while the c6z looks like a masculine brute in comparison. But damn, that c7 sure is perrrrty. Haha

I posted about 20 more in an album on my Facebook page. Some of those are good comparison shots and many without the bra that see a few crying about. FYI for the bra haters. It's not a looks thing but a protection thing. Only on the car for long trips which VIR is for us.

If you care to search for my other C7 pictures my Facebook name is Glenn R Murphy
They are in Photos, Albums

The C6 is the old man. Stylish but dated..his time in the sun is not as appreciated by the general public as the new kid on the block.. But the wise old C6 knows that the young C7's day will come and go as well. He has the class to understand and appreciate how life works. Not like other old men who can not gracefully accept change.
