Default how quiet will the cabin be?

ok, since the GMC sierra and Chevy Silverado were released they've talked mostly about how quiet the cabin will be, but for the vette C7, didnt hear much.
Can anyone put a shine on this topic?

It is a sports car... I suspect it will be quieter than the C6 inside relative to road noise. If that is really important to you, a CTS-V is probably a better choice! For me, I love the engine and exhaust sound... the more the better... road noise, less so.

I'm not sure how to describe it in relative terms that you can relate to as I don't know what your exposure to Corvette or interior noise is. What I can tell you is that road noise is virtually gone in this car. It is incredibly quiet.

The GM engineer said that beyond the acoustic work done the tires are much quieter than the previous.

Tires account for a most of your road noise.

I might be imagining things, but it looks like there's some sort of treatment in the wheel wells.

On many of the recent Lexus products now they've added an almost carpet treatment in the wheel wells. I don't know how to really describe it but it's not carpet, just not smooth. But it stay's black with no issues and is incredibly quite. Mine has over 50K now and the wheel wells are still like new. Snow doesn't even seem to cake in it.

Active noise cancellation advancements are a large part of controlling annoying road harmonics that have previously plagued many hatchbacks..on long road trips...

New tires will also be part of the advance in decreasing road noise.

I'm usually blasting the stereo anyway but I believe the advancements in the c7 will be impressive.

I believe there are microphones emitting opposing sound waves in the interior to leave only the sporting sounds we all prefer.

We won't know up until first impressions from the magazines release though..

This is a sport car! If you want quiet, better look at Rolls, or Lexus. The Vert will probably be even quieter than the coupe when it comes out.

-CM- Those are my photos that you are looking at and I can confirm that there was a "fuzzy" coating on the inner fender wells. Harlan confirmed that this was for noise reduction and that it works well! My concern was if this would pickup road grime and how would it wash off but I would assume this has been tested thoroughly.
