Oh, and one more thing. The pre-sales at this point are probably close to double what they were this time in 2004! There may have been more enthusiasm for the C5 but that was when there were hardly any leaks and not much of an internet presence to share them on. Plus that was a March launch with only a few months of production where they made less than 10,000 cars so it seemed like it was much harder to get a car. However, that calmed down in 1998 when they went back to regular production.

Does that remark by a GM rep sound like the car is intended to sit on a show room floor getting bruised by everyone that walks into a Chevrolet dealership(you know the ones...the fat momma's with the unruly kids that have to climb on everything, etc). Who produces a limited edition car with a unique VIN for the masses to play in for six months in order for the dealer to try and drum up sales?
Its exactly what it means, don't forget when fat mama busts the seat its still an untitled car and under factory warranty.

Dave
But will they let you DRIVE it also? That would be the most important part of this program.

One Auto? Instant Classic? Seriously, some of these guys would complain if you hung them with an old rope. The whinning and nit picking has hit a monumental level.
