I think the carbon fibre roof is really sharp. I am getting Night Race Blue which, in my opinion, will not show the color side pieces or the carbon fibre as well as lighter colors. Does it become invisible? My question does it add to the car in a dark color or should I forget it?

Up close, you will obviously see the CF. However, from not too far away it will probably start to look like a painted roof that mismatches your car depending on the lighting (NRB can be quite blue or black depending on the lighting).

As said above, you will not notice the difference from a distance on a dark car, but on a light car you will easily notice it from afar.

My black M3 had a CF roof and you couldn't tell from more than a few feet away. I would have not chosen it if it cost anything (it didn't).

Thanks everyone. It is not the two grand that I was so concerned about it was the "look"..I am going to skip it on my NRB C7...

As with all other CF roof models, M6/ZR1, etc., it blends into black and seems superfluous (especially if it costs extra). However, on lighter colors, it certainly stands out and completes the look (if you like such contrast).
